Al Davis was very important in the creation of the NFL and in the creation of what the Raiders are as a franchise. As a Raider fan I loved him, but damn his arrogance really hurt the team down the stretch.

James Swann I love Al Davis because without him there would be no Raiders but Mr. Davis biggest mistakes were 1.Letting Marcus Allen leave 2.Trading Jon Gruden for picks 3.Being in denial that the game was changing and passing him up and also be stubborn, costing the raiders some horrible season after 04 until he died... As a raider fan alot of people don't realize after that game, the Broncos would be dominating the Raiders for years.. Before 1995, Raiders would own the Broncos back in the LA era. But once they return to Oakland in 95, the Raiders collapse to Denver. 1995-present Broncos lead the Series 32-17 with a 7 game winning streak 97-2000 & 8 game w streak from 2011-2015 including 3 SB rings 5 AFC championships. That's when you know which organization has improved & the other hasn't since 1986.

Thanks a lot for sharing this. I´m German with relatives in Denver. My cousin there s a Raiders fan. This game is the only ever American Football match I attended and Iwas in the crowd in the South Standers of Mile High Stadium. Me and all the other fans went absolutely crazy that day and my cousin had to suffer through this... He took it in good humor though. Priceless memory. Thanks!
