The screens are a result of two problems one our running game is pretty terrible so they can be used to supplement that and also Bo had been pretty bad throwing over the middle pretty much since the browns game he was clearly in a funk i think Sean was trying to build his confidence back up with some easy stuff as well as minimize risk

Yea so on screens and deep ball mimms best at making nothing outta something and actually catches the ball. Sean play calls usually have heavy te and rb to block and get checkdown so at most usually 3 WRs mims court and vele. Franklin’s should be out in slot cuz he’s fast and easier to catch 3rd and short out slot and don’t gotta focus on hard catches. Sean loves his 2 te plays to and that’s only 2 WRs. Wish he would use more 4 wr get ball down field type plays especially if players don’t execute on dedicated block heavy plays

Peyton called a screen and lost yards hat all on the coach horrible play call either run the ball again and throw on 3rd down on a manageable situation or run play action and try to throw both downs but running a screen that loses yards is the worst case scenario

The reason Denver lost in overtime was because they played to not lose because tie was good enough. If the played like they had to win and lost I would have been fine with it but I was pissed at the way Payton called the game in OT.

Your point of view on the loss of this game was very refreshing and encouraging. I was upset just like everybody else about this loss but now that I’ve had time to think about it, we’ve become such a long way in a year. When I review the highlights, we fell short, but it was really a great game! I don’t think we should be quite so hard on our team. We need to encourage them and keep on fighting and moving forward. What I saw today was basically, Sean Payton trying to catch-up to the modern day --- NFL football coaching --- level... To me, it seems that he hasn't humbled himself with the, "I'm the smartest man in the room" mentality... I honestly think he should have an assistant that's "outside of the fishbowl" giving him a different perspective during the game. And the defensive coach, Vance Joseph seems to not know enough about his defensive players to make the proper adjustments in the second half... And moreover, Sean Payton has to stick with one running back for them to get their rhythm. You want the hot hand, then stick with that hot hand for that game!

@ yea I understand that but ties are really not that common. Just because the outcome is win-lose-tie doesn’t mean that we have a 2/3 shot of either winning or tying. With how the bengals were moving the ball and how unable our defense was to stop them I just feel like the better call is to take the game into your own hands and guarantee a playoff spot. You can then rest your starters next week if you want, and avoid playing an extra overtime quarter.

I don’t agree with the argument on Sean Payton. Our offense is very basic because Nix is still a rookie. We have zero motion because Nix is a rookie. Nix and this offense isn’t doing anything elaborate because Nix is a rookie. Payton already expressed this. I’m not surprised our offense is slow and not all that productive right now. A MSN article about Nix's throw said Next-Gen said it was 67, then said it was based that on from the 40 and 7 yards deep into the endzone. If so, doesn't that discount that it was thrown from the right hash mark across the left - an extra 3 yards maybe? It did seem to be caught 6-7 deep. Do they keep track of the longest game throws that aren't caught? Really hard to believe Hail Mary's aren't as long.

I live near Folsom High School, a d1 team that won state last year. I watched their playoff game against Pittsburgh HS. The reason why they loss their game was because they were way too conservative with their offense for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd quarter. This goes for the same with Broncos. I’ve noticed how efficient our offense is after the 2 minutes warnings. We are way more aggressive during this time, leading to us scoring. Sean Payton NEEDS to trust Bo Nix more. CJ Stroud was good last year because coaches trusted him. Even as a rookie.

Dolphins fan here to explain why the Broncos have a 100% certainty of landing the final wildcard spot. It's simple. Because Kansas City will make sure of it for a number of reasons. Reid knows the Dolphins have no chance of beating the Bill's in round 1 but Denver does, as slight as that chance may be. Better a little than none. If KC wins and Miami loses, Cincinnati gets in to face Buffalo. The Bengals are a real threat to go up to Buffalo and win. The problem there is Joe Burrow. Letting him in the playoffs is a dangerous game to play. He'll beat you in any stadum, in any weather. By losing and letting the Broncos in, they force the Bills to face a stiffer challenge in a cold weather first round matchup against the Broncos without opening the door to a monster that might end up eating them too. Eliminating Burrow would be priority #1. Creating a tough challenge for Buffalo comes second.

Nah, Denver's defense wasnt to blame the last 2 games. Its on the coaching and the questionable play calls in crucial times including right before halftime in both games. Should have gone for 2 in regulation when the iron was hot and then after the missed FG in OT should have had a better playcall to get the first down. Payton has failed them the last 2 weeks, not the players.

Overtime rule needs changed starting point 35 yard the team if the game ends in a tie the team scores the first touchdown and two point conversion 8 points wins starting points for conversions 25 yard line if they dont make the two point conversion the other team gets a possession and a chance to win with scoring 6 points and two point conversion if they score a touchdown miss the two point conversion it goes to a 2nd overtime to break the tie starting point 50 yard line first touchdown two point conversion wins with other team getting a chance to match it if they dont match it they lose no kicking field goals or conversions in overtime

Carson can be trouble if they’re only resting #15, specially if the broncos secondary plays like they have the last 4 weeks. Don’t forget, they were ranked 19th in pass defense before burrow put up 400 on em. Hell, winston put up 400 on em. So to beat the chiefs, safeties need to play better, a db2 needs to step up, bo needs to settle down early in the game and payton needs to let him throw passes deeper than 5 yards

Watching the game yesterday I literally posted on Facebook the Denver should let the Bengals score giving us plenty of time so we can go score a touchdown and even posted who was going to catch the touchdown. But the one thing I did not predict was how hideous Sean Payton was going to be with the play calling. It look like Sean Payton is playing for overtime which so many of us can understand but what's the Broncos got the football in overtime it look like Sean Payton was trying to run out the clock and play for the tie.
