Man... Brahman cattle, the nicest most calm bulls but the angriest cows at least in Mexico... Taking those shortcuts to the creek and getting chased by a cow and accidentally walking up on a nesting calf you can already feel the momma on your shoulder, or when your looking for a ran away cow in knee high grass with a rope and not a lasso cord and you miss the attempt and you gotta stick your head in the dirt to not get seriously injured😂😂😂😂 gotta love it...

My horse dumped me when a Brangus mama was trying to ram /butt him. After I got my wind back from landing on the ground I stood up and that pissed off Brangus mama cow head butted me in the chest, thank God she kept going!, I couldn’t breathe for what seemed 5 minutes, I was a skinny 16 year old then. I was in the middle of a hay field , no trees or fence, no horse to get out of her way. She broke 3 of my ribs. Damn that hurt! Scared my little sister, she thought I was dead!

Brahman cattle, like fainting goats, will "go down" when they get extremely nervous. That might save you when one of these crazy cows charges you, Yell and try to startle her, it might slow her down enough for you to escape, best if a good metal corral with climbable walls is nearby. We will stick to more gentle cattle, better for old men.

Keith Adams Angus don’t last in the Top End, it’s too harsh and they starve. There’s also nothing wrong with curvy women. What are you? So insecure that you have to debase women? I dont really like how you guys handle the cows and baby cows but your horse riding is amazing!
@chasethornton59865 жыл бұрын
Linda Esvelt how would you like them to handle the calves? Calmly walk them to where they need to go? It’ll never happen. That’s why they have to rope them to brand them. If they were able to push them on a leash like a dog and take them to the vet, don’t you think they would? We do it like that because we HAVE too.
@laurelcook90785 жыл бұрын
Linda Esvelt as sad as it is, they are going to be food and milk producers, so it’s not really possible to bond with them and be gentle with them because then it would be harder to eat that mouth-watering, buttery filet mignon.
@milku96355 жыл бұрын
I think you are totally right, they could handle the cows and calfs ALOT better, they even threw branches at the protesting ones and called them names, instead of treating them like LIVE animals and give them respect. You can absolutely work with this, and it's a serious job, but it wouldn't be a hassle to treat the animals with more respect.
@Kenneth_James5 жыл бұрын
@@milku9635 hamburger
@sinnamon7145 жыл бұрын
@@milku9635 you can't really handle them either way, if they did treat them like pets, it'd make getting them back much longer and more difficult. they're gonna end up as meat or milk cows anyways, so bonding with them just makes it harder to let them go. these cows get to live their lives in the mountains grazing each season, they're not handled that much. just because they don't handle them the best doesn't mean they don't have good lives.

@kirkcattlecompany68035 жыл бұрын
ole nausene so,basically the whole point of branding is to tell your cattle from the other ranchers especially when like this ranch does ur cattle are out on the range and cattle can get mixed up we have had cattle get mixed with neighboring ranches and it was a mess you might say isn’t there a better way no there isn’t a brand is permanent were ear tags and other options can be faulty and well has for roping it’s a tradition a art myself a a very avid roper on the ranch or in the arena but if we’re to try to catch those calves with anything but a rope you would get your head smashed in by a hoof and as for slaughter it’s a part of life if cattle don’t get consumed then they (I don’t believe this) release some kinda toxin but yea i hope this kinda cleared some stuff up

For what it’s worth if you would sell the bull u have n get a nice Santa Gertrudes bull to cross with your cows you will come out more ahead. That’s what we tried on our cows like yours n had amazing results. The big red Santa Gertrudes was what the big Kings Ranch down in south Texas tried n loved for years n years. They are a hard breed that can live on almost nothing n produce a big calf. The calves are born small but have a rapid growth weight, so you don’t have to worry about calving problems. They are a very strong, disease free cattle. We bought a reg. bull just to give the cross a try n loved the calves so much that we never went back to anything else. Just my opinion for what it’s worth. Google them n give them a try. You will love the cross.
