Racists ... or rather, people with rasist opinions are mostly simply misinformed, but they are certain that their racist "knowledge" and the deductions made from that is correct. However, in reality, they often still has emotional residue from years or even decades of hatred, indoctrination and thoughtprocesses that makes it harder to "stop being racist" even once they have realized they are wrong.

I do love the subtle lesson of this finale. Neighsay is an overt and shameless racist, but he is principled in that is genuinely what he believes. Cosy on the other hand has no biases at all, but also no scruples. In the end the pony that was genuine but wrong could see the error of their ways and change for the better. The pony that only said the right things because 'they were right' only did so in self interest and turned on anybody and everybody the second that it benefited them. It's a message I think is going to be important for kids to learn in the coming years.

To be honest I really liked that Cozy Glow was a villain, it was 1 of Hasbro's most interesting decisions ever. Normally in this show the villains are magically inclined and have already done horrible things in the past, yet that's not the case with Cozy. She was a Pegasus, so she had 2 use Tirek and the Equestrian artifacts to obtain magic that she could use besides moving clouds and flying. Plus there's the fact that Cozy knew no 1 would suspect her 2 do this because she's just a filly. Also then there's her cutie mark, in this show cutie marks represent a ponies talent and destiny. It still does that for Cozy Glow, her cutie mark is a chess piece and she used everyone as pawns in her little game, and she even almost won until the Student 6 piece came into play. I really hope that we see something similar 2 this in season 9, and possibly in G5 as well, the possibilities are truly remarkable

I don't know if they knew for sure whether Gabe had rabies, as that diagnosis requires multiple laboratory tests. But because rabies is virtually 100% fatal if left untreated, standard operating procedure is to administer treatment to anyone who has come into contact with a rabid animal's bodily fluids, just in case (Or at least, it used to be. Maybe things have changed and the necessary tests can be run more quickly and affordably now.)

I've seen some people complain about the fact that they threw Cozy into Tartarus while most other villains are redeemed,so here's a little something to think about. Only Tirek and Cozy are locked up in Tartarus. Why is that? They both tried to drain the land of magic, which is essential in a place like Equestria. While Discord and Starlight were definitely threats,the Mane Six always had magic and some powerful artifacts as well. But what Cozy does that Tirek didn't was drain both actual magic,AND the magic of the artifacts,along with creatures' magical abilities. This would've essentially put Equestria into a very vulnerable position.

It is portrayed very well in my opinion because from an outsiders perception, Racism is blanently confusing when you hear it. And in real life, racism doesn't have a reason and even if racist people do have a reason it sounds like such bullshit that if Chancellor Naysay had a reason for being that racist I could see the reactors saying "well thats stupid." So it doesn't weaken the message, in fact it empowers the message because its a very realistically racist character in a kids show.

With Cozy being a child, her plan *would* make sense to her. Friendship is magic, magic is power, friendship is power. Remove all other magic, only friendship magic is left, obtain most friends out of anypony, have the most power, rule the land as empress of friendship. To this child without the knowledge of how friendship truly works, this plan would make sense in the world of equestria where the power of friendship can summon a rainbow laser to defeat foes. To her, this plan must've been foolproof when she thought it up. Because she's a child and doesn't *fully* understand how friendship can be magic.

Does littleshy even like the series? 34:07 venting. It's called venting. She can't exactly air out her grievances in open as she needs to keep cover, so she does it down here because she doesn't think anyone’s listening. She also likes to feel powerful, so bragging to the powerless Starlight about her plans is part of making herself feel powerful. Also, the movie is cannon, referencing it isn't forced just because you didn't like it.
