@@richardvaldez4903 yea bro I was just saying this, that’s why I love watching kawhi and Derozan play. They are midrange beasts. I feel like at the high school and college level players feel like if I drive why not go up for a layup, dunk or draw a foul. They don’t realize how unstoppable it is to be able to drive in the paint, stop on a dime and pull up, that’s an open shot 9/10 times.

Bronny needs a coach that is going to keep a fire lit under him. I know a lot of people are going to disagree but SC is best when Bronny is aggressive. Once he becomes passive and disappears it’s no good for the team.

The problem is it’s too many nba players kids on that team. And the kids that’s not nba players kids are top ranked so they all will expect time and to see the ball. Bronny should’ve went to a school with 1 other star like Mikey and the other dude he play with from Chicago.

Some of the calls were head scratchers, but sierra got out coached by miles. Their press/trap really doesn't have a history of being good against well coached teams. Saw it last year in the playoffs. Team needs discipline more than anything, too much player autonomy and very clearly not enough adjustments. Either that or the adjustments are shit and don't work.

The Les Schwab Tourney was always good. Show's people from around the country that we have some ballers in Oregon. Oregon High Schools can't recruit players, It's against the Bylaws. So you'll never see one singular team dominating on a national scale. Usually a high school is elite for a year or two, then those players graduate, and they have to start all over again. In a way, that's how high school basketball should be. But you'll never see powerhouse schools coming out of this State.

Funny Coincidence, I know Terrance Jones from Waaay back, 20 years ago. We both played for an AAU team called "United Salad". He was a year younger, so he mostly played for the B squad. He wasn't 6'9 back then lol

That's true for the public schools, but there are two large private schools in the Portland Area (Jesuit and Central Catholic) recruit for all sports and generally have a lot of success, but Oregon is a relatively small area by comparison. Players sometimes "transfer" to another public school, but that means they actually move and live in that school's area. I know of this happening, which may mean the family rents an apartment in that area for the school year.

@@erik5024 Not 100% true Erik. The Catholic schools in Oregon are not completely private entities. They accept funding from the state to supplement their general costs, which makes them partially public schools. This also makes them part of the OSAA; which also allows them to participate in organized sports with other public schools in the area. Oregon made a rule a long time ago that made it "illegal" for any school within the OSAA or any of it's employee's to recruit players. Source: I actually attended Marist Catholic, down in Eugene. People accused me and a buddy of being recruited lol

Yeah there was definitely some home court reffing, but if you were at the game you would've seen that West Linn was trying to draw fouls. Most of those free throws were from bonus from the second and fourth quarters. 23 on SC could do nothing to stop Shelstad, had like 2 blocking fouls within the first few possessions. Got to the point where SC was just double teaming him from half court. Most of the foul calls were blocking fouls by SC and quite a few free throws (8-10) were shot at the end of the fourth when West Linn was already up 12

Bronny needs a coach that's going to keep the ball in his hands. I noticed since Bronny been there when someone that's a scorer is there( #2, Amari Baley, Zaire Williams, Brandon Boston) he puts the ball in their hands and lets them take whatever kind of shots but SC has always been better when Bronny is the main ball handler controlling the pace and being aggressive. I believe that's why he's not as aggressive in a lot of these games is because he's forced to be just a passer or to go stand in the corner. And to think they lost to 2 players everyone else on the other team was there for cardio, SC doesn't rotate good at all after 2 passes are made and the transition defense is terrible it was easy all game.

@@SilentHillH2H yet every nba player and analyst that breaks down Bronny’s game always mention that 2 of his best attributes are his playmaking and his defense🤔 interesting. And I’m not saying he’s super elite at creating his own shot but he’s definitely good at it and very capable if he couldn’t he wouldn’t be able to get to the rim like he does or get to his middy pull up that he shots pretty decent. You can’t be labeled a playmaker and not be able to get your own shots.

You can have all the points, but still be weak at the other parts. He's learning the whole game, that way when he goes to the next level he'll be well rounded.
