Hello agadmator I want to apologize for losing contact with you and actually forgetting that you have helped promote my channel and especially my Nezhmetdinov documentary. I was "ghost banned" by youtube and I didn't realize it until recently. I had to reboot my channel which involves deleting it and then resurrecting it. I found out how to do this on a youtube tutorial. At any rate you asked (a year ago) why my videos are all in parts. It's because when I uploaded them I was only allowed 15 minutes per upload. Thank you sir!

#question Anand: Why challenge best Sicilian player with Sicilian?
@davidtodic98716 жыл бұрын
True
@orionp.94766 жыл бұрын
I would. Because Maxime really is the best Sicilian, player out there. It's practically the only response he ever does against 1. e4 and has a 42% Winrate with the BLACK Pieces vs 1. e4. That's insane, That's almost the same winrate as Bobby Fischer's winrate against 1. e4. So yes, it is reasonable to question Anand "Why play the Sicilian against MVL of all players?" He's not unbeatable.. of course, but at least you should've tried another opening. MVL is just too well versed in both sides of the Sicilian.

What happens if Anand plays d5 @8:31 ?
@rohanp5 жыл бұрын
8:32 d5 was much more active move for Anand rather Rc7. A rook is being engaged to defend d7 pawn thereby locking out everything for black.

The game ended because he could pick up the d-pawn as well. The only way to stop this is Ke7, which would allow forking the rook with the knight on d5. At least that's what I saw that I assumed he resigned for
