[start] Ok so I decided to just quickly type up why the Changelings decided to change so fast, and how they did it. . . (I just looked at my work. . . "quickly type up" . . . riiiiiiight) I did my best to explain this, so I hope you will all enjoy reading what I think happened with the Changelings at the end of season 6. 1: why did they change so fast. Well think back to what Thorax said when asked by Trixie how often Changelings got hungry, he said that he hadn't been sense he met Spike, and Changelings were ALWAYS hungry. Now if your wondering where I'm going with this then try this little experiment. When you wake up in the morning eat a small amount for breakfast, then skip lunch and eat vary little for supper, then try imagine living your whole life like this and you'll probably feel almost like the Changelings did. Thorax said it himself, Changelings were ALWAYS hungry. So when they saw a way out of starving their whole lives (and an easy one at that) they took it. Now some people don't think they would have changed so fast because of their loyalty to Chrysalis And to answer that I would say that the Changelings didn't know that she wouldn't change as well after seeing Thorax's new form, and I imagine that some of them may have been sad that she didn't. Or maybe she was actually a cruel leader and they just didn't like her. But I reeeeealy hope this won't be the case as one of the best parts of her personality seemed to be that the only thing she caired about was her hive, but in the end her heart was to hardend for her to accept a new way. 2:how did they do it. Now this one is a bit more simple. Maybe. Not really. By sharing their "food" as love seems to be for them, with the other changelings around them they practically created an infinite loop of "love power" (I know, sounds cheesy. :b) The act of giving something as precious as their "food" to their fellow Changelings (and remember were talking about a race that's always hungry here, food is going to be pretty precious) was a simple act of love, because instead of hording their "food" for themselves, they chose to share it with others, and as this was an act of love (remember their really hungry, and their willingly giving their "food" to others) it created more "love power" (yah, still cheesy) which they then shared, creating more power which they then shared which created more power . . . ect, ect. The reason they weren't able to continue creating more and more power until they had waaaay more power then anyone else? I think it's because they got "full", and somewhere around then is when they transformed. Remember Thorax only said that he wasn't hungry anymore, he did not say that he was full, and sense he had lived a life of permanent hunger before he met Spike, he probably didn't know what "being full" was. And incase your a little confused by me useing the word "love" all the time, then let me tell you something that will hopefully help. The type of love I'm talking about, most of the time at least, is called charity. And charity has nothing to do with emotion, but is in fact an act of the will. You can hate someone and still be charitable to them, like if you see someone you don't like crying, your emotions won't be telling you to help, but you can still try and comfort them because it's the right thing to do. And that's why the Changelings didn't share their love before now, because they had never been taught to cair for each other, only to work together to achieve a goll; and they were never taught to share love, only to steal it and bring it back to the hive. But now with Thorax's example, they were able to realize that their was a better way, and made the choice to change their Changeling ways, and follow the advice of the unicorn, who instead of looking at them like enemies that had stole her friends, was trying to help them by showing them a better path. I may be wrong about that though, because mabye the Changelings DID cair for each other, but had never thought about sharing love, as they had been raised to steal it, not to give it away. But after seing Thorax they realized that sharing IS a good thing, and made the choice to follow his example. Ok I think I covered everything I wanted to say (and a lot more). And I know theirs probably holes in my theory, but hay, you can find a hole in practically any theory you find, so I think I did pretty well explaining everything.
