A Bronze Garden is an evocative and meditative foreground to complement the magnificent views in harbourview guestrooms. Adorning the narrow sculptural space just outside the window, handcrafted bronze bonsai trees by local artisans Coxper and Fanson Lam, whom Chi Wing Lo commissioned, “grow while forever being shaped by the wind, tanned by the sun, nourished by the rain.”
In their artistic interpretation of bronze bonsai commissioned by Chi Wing Lo, Hong Kong artisans Nathan Wong and Hazel Lee of Coxper have been inspired by the official mascot of Hong Kong - the Chinese white dolphin whose habitat is Victoria Harbour. Each work expresses the dolphin in various life modes - joyful, lively, resting. Residing on the windowsill, the bronze bonsai connects the beautiful scenery outside the window to the guestroom. Through each bespoke iteration of the tree - its various postures and endless vitality - is a unique lens to discover what a colourful and vibrant place Victoria Harbour is. As night falls, a more peaceful and contemplative picture emerges - each a unique window to the mesmerising wonders of Hong Kong.
