I think Jim mistook who was the beatdown a few times in these games. This deck can be aggro with the skyknights but it's generally a slow lategame deck, and Jim kept attacking when outnumbered on board.

Nonbeliever. Squires into good bodies can be a winning plan, but if the Squires get derailed or arrive late in the game, I think the deck will struggle against a more synergistic deck. Hunter and Harvester are amazing, but lack of removal or sac tricks really undercuts them.

Nonbeliever I think you are hesitating too much to choose another color so you end up staying in your one color lane too long resulting in just an okay deck. If you chose Green or White earlier in pack 1 you'd have a slightly better deck.

Jim's a good drafter. Better than I am. But there's a specific mistake he makes pretty regularly: he often thinks about the signals he's sending more than the signals he's receiving. He gets passed good green cards here, but decides "I passed a couple good green cards already, I should keep doing that."

At least it wasn’t a blue deck again. This is a starter set of cards so all individually aren’t strong cards. But as a combination can get good synergy. Jim is passing over good cards for a synergistic deck because they are individually weak. I’m not sure he understands what this deck is about. It’s not about bombs.

Anyone else feel like Arena has been feeling more and more unfair and non-reflective of real world magic drafts due to the hand smoother, the hidden deck power paring system, and hidden ELO system? Jim isn't infallible and certainly owns up to his mistakes, but no WAY he should be losing this much, especially over the course of like 4 sets now when he literally does this for a living.

yeah, it can be a little frustrating. hidden deck power pairing system can kinda screw you when your deck didnt quite come together the right way. but everyone else is working with the same systems, so overall, your average win rate is going to reflect how good you are as a limited mtg player. i dont think jim drafted this one super well. he missed the green lane pack 1, then kinda forced white over taking more removal which he really needed. jim is not the best in the world at arena drafting. he is quite good. but he has some room for improvement.

I know you can rapid fire games on arena but the number of non-games I’m having to drawing like, 8 non-lands in a row, or 10 of 13 or 9 of 12 opening lands is just pretty wild. I mtgo draft very regularly and the games I have on arena are not even comparable at this point

I think you lost at least two games by being overly aggressive. Sometimes it is best to be a defensive durdle-y deck.
