I made an attempt at an Izzet Artifact deck, and while it wasn't as good as this one (I've made adjustments to get it a lot closer to this), one card that has impressed me in it that you aren't playing is Diamond Pick-axe. It's cheap, it ramps, it puts Artifacts on the board that happen to be free to sac for the Geardrake, but most of all, it's a great target for Glyph and Case since it makes a beefy Indestructible beat stick. It does unfortunately die to Anoint with Affliction, but so does everything else in the deck aside from Curiosity. It dodges most other removal.

adding that pick-axe on turn 1 works great! glyph the legion and start spamming tokens. add a worldwalker and tokens start falling from the sky.

I cooked up a deck at one point that used Karen as a damage multiplier with Rollercrusher Ride. Basically any damage doubler filtered through Karen doubles again. I would drop roller crusher for 1, it would do 2 damage to Karen then 4 to face, then I could shock Karen for 4 and 8 to face. If you have a witchstalker frenzy it is 10 to Karen and 20 to face. Deck was a bit slow but really popped off when it got to big red territory.

been thinking about picking up an artifacts deck so this is nice timing. Thanks for the video as always, new lighting looks good 👌

Bitter coffee is almost universally viewed as undesirable in the current coffee waves. Italians take it bitter due to historical scarcity and worse supply chains. You roast the coffee way dark and mask any staleness etc. Good coffee roasted medium can taste sweet, as you said.

"I thought Pixie is good against Dimir, but I kept shitting on em" Bestie, that's a skill thing, you are way too good 😭😭
@TheAcad3mic3 күн бұрын
Imagine thinking that Pixie or Dimir or literally any high level deck in this standard requires skill. it's not even hating it is what it is. You hit your degenerate value generation or you don't, or you're mono red and the game wraps in 3-4 turns or it doesn't. What takes skill in this format? What precisely? This is the reason the VAST majority of games end in concession, because you know by turn 2 with great accuracy who is going to win. You could make a case this is the worst standard in recent history.
@NicolGolas3 күн бұрын
@TheAcad3mic Bro I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news but, it clearly shows that either you play Bo1 or you have no skill at all if that is your opinion. Dimir and Pixie decks require a lot of decisions, even red decks do. So you are just simply wrong.

its giving bo1 - sit down worstie and keep playing your fake format
@severianthefool72333 күн бұрын
@@TheAcad3micI think about this a lot. Like, yeah, a player can be in high Mythic, but what have they actually done to get there? Copy and paste a meta-deck that we’ve all seen a million and a half times? Stacking a deck with full sets of Sheoldred, Bat, GFTT, Cutdown, Dreadwood Knight doesn’t make you good. IMO

The thing with the pixie pile is there IS no skill, so there is no skill issue. Theyre looking at an early grip of Nightmare and bounce abuse or theyre not. Like all good decks in standard its obnoxious and plays itself out. This format is garbage.

I quit playing because of 'go for the throat' & 'cut down' Unless your creature card has a strong ETB effect don't even bother.

I'd suggest playing large artifact creatures or simply going wide to make both of the above cards nigh useless
