I'm decluttering my collection with you! 🖤 I agree with you about the Jaclyn packaging. The bulkiness was a deal-breaker for me; i didn't purchase any of those products simply bc of the unnecessarily oversized packaging. I disagree, however with your comments about face palettes. I like palettes that have only one type of product. I store my makeup by category, so palettes that have more than one product stress me out, because i don't know where to put them in my drawers LOL! 🤣

I agree with you on the categorisation issue, but I solve it by never buying face palettes 😂 at most I’ll buy a duo of the same product, but any more than that and I just know I won’t use all of the shades and it won’t be worth it for me.

I agree. I used to be all about statement lipsticks...eyeshadow didn't matter so much as long as I had some mascara on. For a while I stopped wearing lip color completely. I've definitely been obsessing over eyeshadow more now.

Melt's blush formula is literally the most beautiful I have ever used. From the tones. original colours, to the sheen and pigmentation. Like I am a broke university student but I will scrape my pennies together for melt blushes. I got the blush light in Lynx when it came out and already almost panned it so I got the Queen Bee blush. I have no regrets :)

I really love how you talk about your relationship with brands that aren’t impressing you currently that you’re “taking a break”. I think it’s so cool how you don’t write them off completely but instead give them a chance to redeem themselves and maybe impress you again in the future. I’ve heard so many youtubers talking about cancelling ofra (I think over one debatably controversial picture? And like, they were rude to some small KZbinr? I don’t have all the facts) but it’s annoying to me because I have lots of ofra products I love and I don’t have a disposable income where I can just throw those away and buy all new stuff, which is what I feel like KZbin is encouraging everyone to do.

I haven't heard anything about ofra but I've never been into them. I tried one of their liquid lipsticks and wasn't impressed. They had a moment a few years ago where their their highlighter was all the rage. Other than that nobody talks about them anymore. I agree with not just treating makeup as disposable. I keep mine for mamy years until I use it or it for sure is bad.

I love those bareminerals blush/bronzers. If you read the original marketing blurb they are actually not a blush bronzer hybrid but a blush that gives you a sun burnt or just done tanning flush.

I didn't understand this "drama," at first. People were making it seem like he made a Hitler salute or something, and when I actually saw the image, I was like... "What? Okay?" But then I noticed the rest of the stuff in the image... And that tells more of a story than a hand symbol, IMO. 👌🏻 is "okay," IMO. Or delicious! I know that they use already existing imagery for plausible deniability's sake. But judging someone solely for using a symbol that had a positive definition, before? Nah. Judging someone for the MAGA hat, and for making repeated donations to Trump? That's fair. I just hate that everyone focused on the hand symbol, when the rest of the image told the real story.

I only reach for face palettes that will do most of my face. I used the Natasha Denona face palette for easy days, because it's basically only blush and highlighter. So I used the blush on my eyes and cheeks, highlighter on my inner corners and cheekbones, and done. I haven't been doing that, lately. I either go basically makeup-free or full "glam," now. 😅 I DO use the Hourglass face palettes, because there are setting-ish powders, blush, and highlighter. The bronzer is way too dark for me, every time, though. I used to buy one of the holiday palettes every few years. Next, I may just buy the one finishing powder, if they keep making palettes as they are, now. 🤔
