I feel like she's confusing contour and bronzer..... bronzer is for hitting points of the face that the sun would most hit (to give a sun kissed glow!), contour is for hollowing and shadowing areas. They go on completely different areas of the face.

We went through a phase in the late naughties where we used different types of bronzers. You basically couldn't buy contour palettes in those years, just shimmery bronzers, or matte bronzers.
