A tribute to Brook Boddie, who passed away on July 15, 2020. In this video, Rhett Barnwell shares a few words about this amazing musician, composer, harpist, and gentle soul who touched the world through his music. He plays Brook's composition, "Upon the Willows".

I never got the chance to meet Brook because by the time I decided to move back home after Living in Los Angeles for years I didn't get to meet him. But I did get the chance to meet him on Facebook. We would write to each other for that I am grateful. I am from Louisiana and I live only a couple of blocks from where Brook lived here in Shreveport. I am so proud of him because both of us are from Louisiana and both of us play the instrument of angels. I am an amateur astronomer as well and when I am out at night are early mornings viewing the planets and stars I think about him. Like brook and maybe it's a Louisiana thing. I don't like the spot light. I am always ask to play my harp and I just don't like to do it. In Los Angeles I was playing the harp in a music store when spike Lee and his manger ask me to play in his movie. My God I didn't expect that! Here in Shreveport my morning prayers starts with upon the willow a beautiful song to start my day. I like to think that Brook would take a walk with a small harp in hand and played in the beautiful school yard of captain Shreve. which is where I like to bring my telescope to stargaze. I also like to play my small harp there on the weekends. RIP Brook Shreveport is still peaceful and quiet and your harp is still being heard here at home.
