England probably has the best batting line-up in test cricket. Zak and Duckett are in excellent forms, Pope is increasingly becoming one of the best batters at No. 3, Root is as usual fantastic with the bat, Brook is an incredible talent, Stokes is possibly the most clutch cricketer of 21st century and I honestly think the new kid Jamie Smith is a generational talent. Moreover, pretty much everyone is quite handy with the bat at the end with the exception of Bashir.

Perhaps not, but he's certainly one of the most exciting. As an Englishman, I consider his achievements to have outstripped both Flintoff and Botham. Flintoff is obviously the better bowler, even before the knee injury, but they were all players of inspired moments rather than ones who had exceptional statistics. In that sense, I think Stokes' high points (WC final, last wicket partnership w/Leach) outrank 'Botham's Ashes' etc (and I am old enough to have watched that). The most inspired cricket I have ever seen by an Englishman.

Both demonstrated they have bright futures: Shamar, Brook, Hodge, Louis, Atkinson, Sinclair, Bashir, Duckett have all proved there will be more matches like this if they are consistent. Consistency has been a minor issue: Duckett got consistent starts and did not convert; WI have been consistently too short, but will hopefully recover. Brook can do classical and modern; he is perhaps still a tad impulsive, but his classic strokes need framing; I hope he is as good in Australia. Wonderful to see Alzarri & Shamar back in the fray; the money says England, but if WI can go the whole five days, its likely to be a cracker; Viva Test Cricket.

Brook seems a totally different batsman in tests; he exudes great confidence, right attitude, and becomes aggressive when needed. Wonder why he isn't able to replicate the same in ODIs or T20. He has got wonderful batting temperament.

Good Test cricket batting all round. Very good to see. Surprised Hodge was not given a few overs to bowl. Not sure West Indies want to chase 300-400+ to win in a day and half. I doubt Stokes will pro-long their second innings to force a dull draw. He will declare tmrw and go for the win. Day 4/5 will be hard chasing anything over 300+ against that England bowling attack. But West Indies showed fight in their 1st innings. No reason they would not do the same in their second innings. They are surely missing the experience of Roach in the bowling.

The pitch is flat flat flat and England bowling attack isn't anything special, they don't even have a good spinner. If you think it will be hard for West indies to score 300 you must be watching a different game from me
