When you get a good wicket in an English test match it's one of the best things in cricket, you get everything big innings, a bit of movement for the seamers, enough in the wicket for the quick and as the match and wicket progress you get plenty for a spinner, good crowds setting sun and a brilliant end to a test.... Don't agree one innings don't win test matches Wi was very disappointing cannot be relied on. They are so inconsistent. Their five top order batsmen got out to poor shot selection and their foot is not moving is like they have arthritis in a them knee they either stand up straight and swing the bat or play back when they should be forward and out lbw. They should not be paid as they are not committed to the game.The ones that are not performing should be dropped.I am hoping to see drastic changes for the next test.

They had no chance to win this this pitch was dry and I knew the Bashir guy will nail it in 2nd innings if they had target of some 250 they had win but this bowling line up without roach is not that good shamar pace from 90mph drops to 80mph he is bowling like holder in both matches needs to be dropped in next one seales is very good bowler in these conditions he showed it and alzarri has lots of talend but couldn't replicate it when he is on song it's treat to watch but it's not so often his economy is 3.67 the worst ever in test cricket

Every side in international cricket bar Bangladesh and Zimbabwe have dominated test cricket at some point. You can't always look back on one golden period during one decade. I was alive during the Viv Richards era, and they're a long long way from finding a set of bowlers like they found then. They must be there so it's obviously due to the development or lack of support in the game there.

This means they may get another 2 maybe 3 years out of him before he starts struggling.... recall Mayers who announced his arrival with a double ton in his first test at age 28. After that he started to score less and is now not even under consideration for tests (but has found his niche in ODI and T20). Holder is already into his 30s and is not as productive with the bat or ball as before...as evidenced in this match he does not even apply his vast experience to the benefit of the team. Skipper Brathwaite is also getting up there in age and has been very inconsistent with the bat in recent years. Plus his captaincy does not appear to show innovation or deep thought as we see from other more successful captains.

Mark Butcher is such an excellent Test match commentator. In the early parts of the highlights, it sounds like he's alone. He has a soothing voice hahaha. Great performance from England and some meaty batting from Windies towards the end - but not enough to hold out, Bashir bowling very well to cap off a top test :)
