For real! Poussey and Brook were two of my favorite characters. Both were really well developed and could’ve had so much more to offer. I felt the ending for Poussey was so sudden and her back story ended so abruptly just when it was beginning to get interesting and you really started to feel connected and have empathy for her as a character 😞 Brook also had a lot going. Although she had that annoying thing to her the preppy girl vibe but she also became more like able the longer she was in prison and the more sides you got to see of her.

Those of you shitting on Soso's efforts are missing the point. Just because Poussey died doesn't mean she won't continue to linger around them, and in their hearts. She loved her job at the library, and even if the system is very inefficient, the idea of carrying Poussey with them all wherever they go is a beautiful gesture and this scene always makes me cry. A sudden death is particularly devastating and I can understand the need to do something to keep someone's memory alive.

ugh i only watched to the end of s4 the riot i need to watch this next season. it's all so sad and they all come together and are dealing with pousseys death. so sad tht it had to come to someone dying for them all to realize they need eachother and these are human lives that once gone cannot come back. Sadly thats how the real world is they let shit happen and go on till it happens to you or someone you know. someone has to die for shit to change.

Political protesting, she would do a lot of door to door protesting but the specific one that got her arrested was when she was protesting logging by living in the tree so they wouldn’t cut it down.

Depends whether your friend was talking about her personality or other things. Her personality is not typically likeable even though she has her moments. Watch her backstory. She tries really hard to seem interesting, and is willing to lie to achieve it.

Also, Soso developped, especially with Poussey, and in the end she was alright :) And the actress is quite cute, so what do I know?
