Couldn't see any pigeons out my window today, but last year I had to stop feeding the birds in my garden because it was attracting more and more pigeons each day until my roof was covered in hundreds of them. It like something out of a Hitchcock movie. I'd throw birdseed out and they would swoop down in a huge swam and eat it up in seconds. My theory is, lockdowns meant there were less people in the cities, so there were less discarded food for the pigeons to eat so they left the cities looking for food in the suburbs and countryside instead.

Pleasing things, I absolutely agree with stationary and when you find a pen or pencil that lets your hand glide as you write it is incredibly satisfying. My favourite thing is the sound of a breeze through the leaves of trees on a warm day, when it passes through and then touches you a second later. It makes me feel connected. Or the sound of a cuckoo calling out in the evening. Or the muffled noise from within when you walk past a warmly lit pub on a winters evening, especially when you’re going in. Or when I think I’ve done something idiotic like lock myself out and then find my keys in my pocket. That one doesn’t happen very often, usually I’ve just done something idiotic. Thanks for the lovely videos.

Bellingham has some pigeons, though we also have eagles, hawks, and falcons to help manage the population, thank goodness. I love the forests around here, though they're more red cedar, Doug fir, vine maple, and western hemlock than pine. I'm also pleased by mornings when fog drifts are draped along the wooded mountains outside of town.

What I find pleasing. - Stationery too! - Sitting in the car when it's raining at night time - Walking along a stormy beach in winter (bloody hell that sounds like something from a Mills & Boon novel) I also looked out of the window for pigeons. There were none, just a couple of Kookaburras.

Such a treat to see the beautiful views of the wild & windy West side of the Isle again. Looking forward to parts 3 to 6 Pigeons: Whenever I sit in my garden, 2 pigeons always appear & misbehave on my fence. I don't like pigeons. I do like Jackdaws, Blackbirds & Magpies as they are very interesting birds to watch. What pleases me:- Hearing the dawn chorus. Watching the Sunrise & Sunset over the sea. I like to see the sunshine appear after the rain followed by a rainbow. From my window, when it snows, I like looking at the street lamp opposite & watching the snow slowly & gently falling onto the pavement. I like the perfumey smell of washing capsules after I've opened the box. I like laughing at funny jokes & I also like watching your Isle of Wight videos (especially your twin character!) & visiting the Isle. I don't like much really!😁 🌞☔🌈

Marek, Coronation Chicken was invented in 1953 - for the late Queen's coronation that year, that's 70 years ago now. At least from the Castle everywhere is downhill but your walk to Newport Bus Station would have been an additional mile and a bit on top of the 9 miles from Brook. Well Done!!

All the pigeons have gone to bed for the night 🌚 But they usually sit all along our gutter coo-ing. Strangely memorising and soothing believe it or not. Beats the sound of the M25 in the distance anyway. I'm glad Babs and Iris came up trumps with this one. All around Mottistone is lovely. One thing I love is the smell of the sea. We have a strange bush outside which smells distinctly like the sea air. Wishful thinking maybe. Survived another challenge...changed my mind at the last moment. Phew. Sheep sneezing 🐑..now that's something I would like to hear...worth at least a trillion spotter points. x J x

Another great video, thank you. I'm impressed that you managed to pass through Mottistone without mentioning Benedict Cumberbatch - did you see his photo at the village fair the other week? Didn’t even have to move to glance out of my window and see a pigeon on a rooftop right away! They’re taking over round here too Marek, I think you might have discovered their plan to rule the world. They’re tough as nails as well, they pop down to torment my dog and just laugh at him when he tried to catch them. Arseholes.

I am surprised and dismayed that virtually everyone is who has commented has seen a pigeon. My fears of an imminent takeover have only increased.

@@cdwc Well, on the positive side at least you’ve alerted us all to the problem...before it’s too late. From now on, we’ll be keeping a closer eye on those power-crazed pigeons and their ever-increasing army 🐦😰🆘

I just googled it. I felt a bit guilty for slagging of pigeons, then one did an enormous sh*t on my window, and the guilt promptly evaporated.

This video is very triggering to Vanessa’s. Firstly, sheep twice, you should know better Marek! Secondly, why are you coming for lovely Rock Doves! Why don’t you try befriending them by filling your with pockets of wild bird seed and feeding the starving birds. Maybe you done like them because you’ve only met hungry ones. No one’s on their best behaviour when hungry. And thirdly, Now you are coming for strawberry laces too. Actually it’s amazing how much sugar is in everything when you look. Best you send the strawberry laces to me and stick to sugar free treats. The do have a laxative effect unfortunately. Don’t ask me how I know. And fourthly, I really enjoy feeding Rock Doves, harassing cool walking clubs about Bushrangers, Eating Strawberry laces like spaghetti and street drain unblocking videos but not plumbing videos… yuck. Oh and bunting is cool. Twinkling lights in trees I rather like. And early morning walks when there is still frozen dew on the grass. And anything disgustingly dirty that’s been freshly water blasted. Fresh sheets. Smell of tumble dried clean clothes. A nice bench with a view. A good old tree. Looking at clever art. The first perfect temperature sip of earl grey tea. Being asked for a cuddle by one of my dogs. Writing long comments on you tube videos to a strange funny man I’ve never met who probably has better thing to do than read this. Silliness. Oh and I love when people do weird things that make me question why did they do that. Like a garden full of gnomes or a tree full of shoes. There is a fence on the Sth Island that has 100’s of bras on it.

Rock doves make them sound nice. They are not nice. They are my enemy. Meanwhile I agree with you on all the pleasing things. The more I paint the more I like looking at art. I have been enjoying reading some good graphic novels (not superhero stuff - I hate that). One day cool dudes walking club might evolve into Cool dudes sitting down and painting club. Maybe you should do a painting of the bra fence.

@@cdwc I feel my 20 something year old self would be terribly embarrassed to say her favourite things include feeding pigeons. Give the pigeons a fair go! They are sweet little guys.

Pigeons everywhere and really suicidal, literally flying at my car all summer. Stationary and clouds (it's been a great year for clouds) are always pleasing. Bought some yellow legal pads in America, they're lovely to write on in blue ink. There were Scots pine trees at the caravan site we went to every year when I was young so always feels like adventure when they're about. The biggest joy however is car boot sales, they make me deleterious with joy. You never know what treasure is lurking amongst the crap and often people only want 20p for stuff

Nice one cool dude Things I find pleasing are fresh clean linen on my bed, bright frosty mornings and Haribo Goldbears. Which, like the strawberry laces, are more or less entirely made of sugar 😬
