They've each got different flavors of self loathing. Sanji internalized his feelings of being useful and now thinks of himself as worthless unless he's helpful in some way. Reiju internalized being called a monster and truly believes herself to be no better than her brothers, especially since she's too afraid to defy her father. Sanji is the only one she feels has any worth in the family, and this is willing to die to save him without batting an eye.

Luffy can’t read the stones, at least not now. He hasn’t shown the capability even with the same ability as Roger. Rayleigh even confirmed Roger couldn’t read the stones. I guess there’s some inconsistencies with the ability to hear the “voice of all things”. Maybe certain stones can talk, which is why Momo’s dad and Robin are valuable. They can read the stones without aid.

The voice of all things that Roger, Luffy, Shirahoshi & Momonosuke can hear isn't that well explained so far: 1. Luffy can hear the Sea Beasts & Zunesha but can't communicate with them. 2. Momo & Shirahoshi can both hear, talk to & command Sea Beasts (Only Zunesha in Momo's case). But neither of them can hear the Poneglyphs like Roger could. 3. Roger can hear the Sea Beasts and Poneglyphs but he can't read the specific text on them. That's why he needed Oden to decipher the Road Poneglyphs.

It's such an obscure ability that we don't know almost anything about it. I have the idea that Shirahoshi can comand the sea beasts is because she is directly connected to them, being an ability that is passed in the fishmen royal family manifesting in a princess. Momo's feels like something similar but in this case with Zunesha having that connection with the Kozuki clan for a long time, both can hear but they have something beyond that connects them with the respective animals. And is interesting to point out that even before Shirahoshi was born the sea beasts were talking about another king that was gonna be born in one the four seas, I always though they were referring to luffy but who knows. And in luffy's case I don't know if it's something that is gonna develop more that just hearing, but I think if it's exactly like Roger that can sorta understand the meaning that something is trying to convey, Roger could understand or "hear" the message in the poneglyphs but couldn't actually read the language.

Seeing Alicia dismiss the fight between Pedro and Baron w/ his other two forms and showing no interest or slight excitement in it kinda sucks to see. One Piece does have many ridiculous and over the top moments and fights that you don't really take seriously until shit hits the fan or the atmosphere around the characters changes completely and it gets dark and serious. Other times it just comes outta nowhere and hits you with the element of surprise.
