I see what you did there. You put two and two together and come up with the obvious and brilliant conclusion: Since this happened AFTER I started exercising in CrossFit, then CrossFit is obviously is the cause of it. Pure genius. And who said anything about spinal surgery?

Take it easy during your recovery, I had a Tommy Johns tear in my elbow and wanted so bad to lift, but couldn't for 6 weeks. You'll be back at it before you know it!

Dont sweat it. I had the same sort of surgery on my c5/c6 only had a disc replacement instead of fusion. Youre a f@ckn rock star and we all love n support you!

Post surgery is rough! You are taking it like a champ though. I just finished taking care of someone who had their c-spine fused and it was an awful experience for them. You are so lucky to be dedicated to fitness in a way that you can come back successfully! 🤗 props gurl!

Great vid Brooke. I have had this sx, c6-7 so no neck brace required. Just plate, 4 screws, and cadaver bone. My problem was resolved as soon as I was awake in recovery, no arm pain. For the rest of you, know this sx is not without great risk. Many have had stroke, paralysis and cerebral spinal fluid leak because of epidural tear due to this sx. I would suggest to investigate your surgeons history of outcomes with this procedure. Also go with the neurosurgeon vs the orthopeadics doc that does backs. Love Orthopaedics, just not on my back. Good luck, just my two cents.
