For real! They could hire someone to go scrub stuff. Which means that they didn't care that stuff was out there.

I think the idea that "I think she has grown" is giving someone too much credit; someone you don't know at that, so to make any insinuation that she's changed that mindset .... it is dangerous to say something like that, especially in defense of someone who has deeply disrespected the black community; a community you are not a part of, Skelotim. Not every bigot changes their ways, a lot of them will forever be stuck in these ways and I wish y'all would stop giving these people even an inch of the benefit of the doubt when they say the most vile and heinous things. The type of verbiage they use has literally gotten us killed.

I think they're being too generous, she said some NASTY and hateful things. That's not a mistake, she genuinely believed what she was saying was true.

I honestly think that she said it as a teenager. She was brought up in a boomer generation, and it sounds like she grew up with racism. She grew up since then and know right from wrong. Have you EVER said anything you regret?

@@samanthamorales-carroll4037 We've all said shit we regret, but I have never posted hateful "jokes" or rants. It doesn't matter what generation you grew up around, my grandparents were bigots (yes, they raised me) and it inspired me not to follow in their footsteps. Also, you really shouldn't argue with people on the internet or defend people that don't even know you.

@user-kw9ni6hv1b yeah posting on the internet is something you shouldn't do, especially anything about race or politics in any way. I'm Hispanic, and I laughed about the bean dip joke that was funny.... plus, she was already dragged about this same stuff as now a few years ago. I understand bringing it up again if she hasn't changed or taken accountability. Great example: Colleen and James Charles! They haven't changed their disgusting ways and haven't really taken accountability!.

@@samanthamorales-carroll4037i grew up around mostly white people and never said I thought anything wrong about my own community and it happens more than it should. lots of people are self hating and projecting to their own community. Lots of people grow up in horrible household, but that they don’t turn out to be racist or abusers, etc.

Just because she “apologize” doesn’t mean people have to forgive her

Some things aren’t forgiveable especially when youre old enough to know what you said or were doing is wrong , people can grow and change in private and learn peace with themselves but people arent obligated to forgive them even if they did change. Some things like racism are taught at a young age but when you get older especially if you have access to the internet you know its wrong and you have a personal choice whether or not you continue down that path and you deserve the consequences if you do yk

We must be on different sides of TikTok lol. I think it’s too early for her to be forgiven (if people decide). She’s only recently adopted “liberal views.” Her tweet where she said she adopted liberal views and got better grades during college doesn’t help her gain trust either. It just makes her come off as calculating, especially after she came back and did a second apology video. I think it’s fair if people don’t care for what she has to say or believe that she hasn’t changed. It’s only been like what? 4-5 years since she was in college? If she really is changed, more time needs to go by especially with family like hers.

Honestly I’m not even a fan of cancel culture, but I think if anything should be cancellable it would be instances like this. Similarly to you I’m not very sensitive when it comes to slurs, I was raised in a very white community and have been called every name in the book. I stopped giving power to the words. However, in instances like this her speaking on Trayvon, a 17 year old child who went to the store to buy skittles and a drink, it’s crazy to me. And what is worse is she says she didn’t start changing her viewpoints until after college. Most people graduate around 21-22. In my personal opinion that’s grown enough to understand the difference between right and wrong. But that’s just meeee, I think her apology was genuine but I’m just tired of all of these huge influencers with a history of these types of tweets.

@Skelotim Omg.. U remind me of myself darlin'! I have the same attitude when it comes to people. We all make mistakes but its how we change, how we respond and what we do later that matters. Acknowledgment and change. Ur such a beautiful soul... P.s. ive done sum stupid (mostly being drunk tho.. Nothing really bad, but very embarrassing) sh!t before. Thank GOD There wasn't social media back then! Lol P.s.s. that word doesn't upset me either and I'm apart of the LGBTQ community as well... But I understand why sum could be...

for me, if people in said community say slurs and make jokes it’s okay but if you’re not in those communities it’s not. A lot of “jokes” made by people not from those spaces are stemmed from places of bigotry and hatred being disguised by slick comments. Not funny, not cool, & people are allowed to grow but giving you the side eye until you prove me differently. Only time will tell!
