My heart flooded with happiness when I heard your dad say "love you, love you" at the end of his message, just like how you end your vlogs. It's like he radiates through you in the ways that you spread positivity.

Losing someone close to you is never easy but it seems even harder when it is a parent. You are so strong and it brings me a lot of peace to watch your videos and to hear what you have to say every week. It has been 5 years since I last saw my dad before he passed and it has been a hard journey but one full of growth. Lots of love ❤️

Couldn't keep in the tears when I heard the voice messages. When your father siad "love you love you", like you do it (twice). I am very sorry for your loss! It's great seeing that you are doing very ell, you seem like such a good person to be around. You have learned very much. Every expirience, good or bad, is an opportunity to learn and grow, turn it into something good. xo

The fact that she ends all her vlogs with "i love u i love u" and that's exactly what her dad said at the end of the voice msg is so precious.

i know that nothing amounts to the loss of a parent, but i recently have gone through a related experience. i lost my dog to cancer a few weeks ago and it was probably the hardest loss I've ever had. he was in my life for 10 years and i grew up with him and will miss him every day. so i can relate to this. Duane you have such a beautiful heart and wise soul, thank you for sharing your experiences! sending love

the voicemails... thank you for sharing so much positivity. I deal with a lot of social anxiety and it is getting in the way of my relationships with pretty much everyone, including my grandparents. I am very afraid they might pass away before I'm able to get my shit together. I have spent the whole night going through your videos (I'm from Brazil, so it's actually quite late) and I just wanted to let you know that you are loved and appreciated and the work you've been doing will certainly leave a great positive mark on many people's lives. thank you.

Hi Duan, I lost my Dad in 2013 when I was 26. That year was quite extraordinary. My Dad retired that June after 50 years of working and finally able to enjoy himself. Unfortunately on the day of Halloween we found out he had cancer and it was bad. He died 5 weeks later on the 8th of December. As it turned out the cancer had spread to the bones and we had absolutely no idea anything was wrong. I can understand the feelings you feel, the sadness and the unfairness of it. The anger and down right bafflement that it happened the way it did. How it changed the way you see the world and how the loss makes you aware of things that you now will miss out on. It's the odd combination of feeling like it was a lifetime ago with feeling like it just happened. But I'm sure as you know time does make it easier. You know that quote 'Time heals all wounds' I think you can agree that it's not quite true. Time doesn't heal wounds, not really. It does what it's supposed to do, give you the time to get used to the scar where the wound was. Watching this today made me think how incredibly proud your Dad and grandma would be, how despite everything you've been through, you still stand strong on your two feet. I like to think that a part of our loved ones still exist as we have their blood running through our veins. As long as we remember them they can never truly be gone and you sharing your memory of them with the world makes the memory of them even stronger. And who knows, maybe one day we will see them again. xxx

Praying for you!! God can heal you from everything you're going through. I can't imagine the pain you must feel with your dad being gone, but I want you to know that you have a Heavenly Father who loves you. God can help you work through all the grief, pain, heartache, and depression. God says Psalm 46:1-2 says, "God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble." You may not be a believer, but I can tell you that you can experience an everlasting joy and peace through trusting Christ. God doesn't take us out of painful situations or memories always, but we can have peace about it. God bless you, and you're in my prayers.
