Nike has every right to make their products limited and exclusive. Just like every designer brand has the right to charge hundreds of dollars for a simple shirt. Neither are meant to be super accessible. The end.

The main problem is resellers backdooring shoes and using bots to buy dozens of pairs of shoes.

I've been grabbing shoes since 89 and there were plenty of Jordan's people could walk in the store and grab them and people who loved shoes still rocked them. Now there are a bunch of dudes who don't like shoes they like hype and a flex then resellers. A lot of that goes away by just making regular numbers.

@@kennyfnpowers707 That’s really the only problem with resellers. Resale prices are actually very fair, despite what the counterfeit apologists want you to think. The hyped shoes everyone wants are expensive, and the bricks are cheaper than retail. The market sets the prices, just like with everything else. Resale prices are not random numbers that resellers just made up.

Brooklyn Dom is one of the very few shops left with an ounce of integrity for the sneaker community. Let’s be honest everything is greed driven now which kills the beauty of those who truly love sneakers. Anything that grosses revenue becomes diluted by greed though. Smh

He’s very right, I’ve seen so many skate shops close it’s sad and difficult to run. People are now going there just for Nike sbs and many stores get very little to none of them, people need to support these stores and purchase other products. Reselling is so dumb I’d rather see the shops resell the shoes themselves or charge a higher retail so they can stay open

I really wish this was longer and dived more into the metal scene of the 80s and how almost every band wore jordans. Its always interesting that jordan never made a collab with a metal band .but then again nike was very conservative brand at the time and to touch the dark side of the music has very little marketing appeal .

I will not stand for this Gel Lyte III blasphemy! I got wide feet and the split tongue doesn't fully close on me when I lace them up, but just walk a bit in them and they will close. Maybe if you have really wide feet, then avoid them. I just love that they come in a tons of great CWs/collabs, very comfortable and don't have the hype. Let's me buy many pairs, use and abuse them and not hurt the wallet.
