Such a vocally powerful and uplifting song. This last week, Iv been driving with the song playing, with the volume at its peak. Weird looks, left right and centre. Do I turn down the volume? Nooooo waaay!! A friend of mine happened to drive past me, and txtd, 'are you having church in your car??' I said 'thaaats right!!' Glory to God!!

Our goal is to be Christlike and I just don't believe statements as that are Christlike. The beautiful thing about life, is if we don't like what we are viewing, then DON'T view it! You quote Exodus 20:4-5 which is about setting up graven images as opposed to worshipping God. First of all, various forms of art have depicted God for thousands of years. jsoots84 I agree with you 100%. But maybe the individual meant that the images are misleading, without realizing that artists created images according to their own culture. Often they had never even seen the original culture from which the stories came. Or maybe the individual is seeing Christianity through Jewish eyes. Many Jewish beliefs were set aside with Christianity, and no longer were applied. We always have to go beyond what we see in the natural, and understand things in a spiritual context, which is more fluid and less hard edged.
