I just went for my first run in thy Hyperion Max 2. Just realizing it's basically the road version of Catamount. A lot of fun on my tempo road run. Curious how it would translate to trail.

I'll be curious about that. Looks like 8mm of additional foam and more weight. I really do like the more moderate stack height of the 2.

Did they get rid of gaiter traps on all their models? Or is that just a prototype thing?

Cascadia looks good. The drop was too much so now I’m interested that it has decreased.

I tried it on at their booth, and the -2mm drop made the shoe feel much much smoother

@@jakeva9802 I think it still will be a good thru hiking shoe, although I imagine this softer foam has got to take a hit on durability. There is more of it though, so maybe that will make up for it. The fit and comfort was exceptional, which is still a very important element for thru hiking
