Hi, I've followed your updates on the brooks saddle you bought, and lol, that hard "hump" that forms in the middle of the saddle as the sides start to soften to your sit bones is probably the most uncomfortable stage of breaking in a tensioned leather saddle..but eventually the hump will conform to your crotch, and since I've broken in mine, I've never gone back to any of my gel and foam saddles. Brooks saddles actually break in quite easily, much more easily than advertised by the company. Glad that you've broken in yours.

@Ted Aries Daguro Also, lowering my saddle slightly helped a lot. Overall I'm happy with it. I didn't know until someone else pointed out that the B17 narrow isn't a touring saddle but a track saddle. Probably why I don't find it that comfortable. I mean, it's not uncomfortable but I certainly don't understand the hoopla 👍

I'd give Brooks a try. But it's an expensive mistake to make if you end up not liking them. My main concern would be moisture - how well the saddle stands up to rain (and sweat). Then again, Brooks are from England, where it rains A LOT, so maybe that's not an issue, I dunno. Maybe their Cambium (C17) line is a good compromise. I read good things about the ones with the cut outs. Plenty to think about. Cheers

@Brian Paterson I have turned around and come back home from rides due to unexpected rain... I tried to mention that in a couple of my takes🤣
