Honestly he does not care about other tournaments. He is just getting ready for wgcs and other major tournament during regular tournaments. He misses cut in last tournament and suddenly he is leading in this tournament which is fishy.

Picking his shots perhaps in terms of weekends perhaps, as Logan 12 mentions? Even though we may not understand it a touring schedule for the pros can be demanding in many aspects. It may not be as dramatically challenging physically as some more athletic sports, but I reckon we shouldn't underestimate all the factors that must align and sync for a solid tournament weekend.
