The Fran Pearson character - not only did they recycle the characters' name, with Julie Peasgood also playing a character called Fran Pearson in the early 1990s, but the actress playing "Fran" here, Bernadette Foley, came back to the show in 1998 as (initially) regular character, Margi Shadwick.

Thanks for the upload. Been loving this trip down memory lane. One of the highlights of the previous episode was the broken window in the Corkhills' front door smashed by Tracy and Jamie returning home drunk. Odd that this was never mentioned again or shown to be fixed in this episode?
