That made a lot of sense. I trade a lot on the five minute chart. I see a lot of patterns in how the five minute candles get formed in relation to time. I like to break the candles down into five segments while I’m watching them build. I am often able to make good entries and exits on the expectations I have from the candle formation patterns. Looking at who’s getting in and who’s getting out this way explains a lot of those patterns I see. Scalping like this really does look like good exercise to improve your trading skills. Thanks for making these videos

Mr. Al Brooks in his first book says that you need two reasons to take a trader. The question is: is one reason enough for scalping? Thanks
@janwanderer76603 жыл бұрын
you really need only the Always-in direction to take a trade, basically you can be in a trade at any time because the AI direction gives you the side of the market which has higher probability, of course, in trading ranges you should not buy at tops and sell at bottoms. AI direction works great after break outs or false moves where a second leg is likely to follow.
@juancruzvalenza10883 жыл бұрын

I imagine it would be difficult in a matter of seconds. It's already difficult in the 1 minute range when I make an entry in the 15 minute chart. It's damn difficult to maneuver yourself into a good position. Hats off to them. You can't determine the reversal exactly, I noticed that after many losses, or I wasn't able to withstand the pressure. This is old school at its finest. In my opinion, everyone should first experience the market noise for a while, all at once, in order to become at least a little more aware. I ran it like this for 2 years. I can say that I have the confidence to trade like this. After 2 - 3 years. And I'm still at the very beginning. I keep seeing that I make mistakes, even after such a long time. It's unbelievable what's required of you if you want to become profitable. I still take it in stride today and see it as a hobby. Very wise words. Thanks for the video.

Thanks Al for the very nice educational video! In one of books (2008), you advised not to trade lower than 5 min chart. Has this position been revisited? What is the real edge in trading a 15 sec chart? (chart reading and precision order placing?). Many thanks in advance.
@papichosqn15623 жыл бұрын
he said that you are advised not to trade lower than 5 min chart because of human limitations, that is, so its advised for the majority to keep your limit at 5 min, and if you are a genius, 3 min he said, so, bcs Al Brooks is a genius himself and the method creator himself trading for decades, he has enough experience to do that, but he doesnt like to trade on 15 secs trading chart, bcs according to him, he doesnt enjoy trading on those conditions, but he can do it, so he usually trade on 5 min because is enjoayble, and thats what he recommends.

80% winning percentage on a strategy that risks 3 to make 1 (so randomly 75% chance to win) is not too bad, but you also lower your stop and add to the position, which makes the randomness odds a bit better. I don't like futures though, if you get in and hesitate to put in a stop loss right before the president tweets or something similar you might end up accidentally losing all you have, haha.

To take the smartest trading wisdom one could ever get: don't trade against the prevailing trend/momentum. This man is violating that basic rule using a demo account. It is great that he got winners but those trades had a higher probability of being absolute tragedies.
@thecontainerthecontents688910 ай бұрын
but during all this... where's the stops to get out if it goes hard against you? Works great... until you're wrong and it keeps going in the other direction and you lose a fortune in a single trade because of these wide stops you're giving for tiny profits each time. he says 3 pts for the stop, well it can easily go 5-10 pts back and then resume trend. You keep pulling the stop back, and it could keep going. This scaling in notion sounds great in principle, in practice you can get annihilated in a single trade with bad management.

@@eduardoflores7079 lol it's nothing technical about scalping. A 3 year old can look at a stock going one way and try to get in and out imn2 seconds.
