@@DavesWalks My ancestor Rev. Charles Haddon Spurgeon is buried at the West Norwood cemetery in London, another lush, mysterious place with such gorgeously ornate historic tombstones; filled with singing magpies. I so wish to return to England. Your channel has been the next best thing for me.

Your walks are certainly an education. I had heard of the railway trains, but had not investigated the location of the cemetery. It's nice to see the Victorians treat their dead with such dignity and transported them to a beautiful wooded place. Thank you.

thank you so much, dave, for this peaceful and moving visit to the lovely brookwood cemetery. i loved seeing the crosses that had come off their bases laid atop the graves - it's like the soul has finally put down its cross. may all the souls rest in peace and rise in glory.

I really enjoyed this walk, as mordid as that may sound. I never miss a chance to visit a historical graveyard. There is nothing more peaceful than being amongst the dead. 😉♥️👻 Thanks for such great footage as usual!

Looks like an ideal place to grow specimen trees because they are unlikely to be disturbed.

Hi, there. I woke at Broowood cemetery I'm a Grave digger. I hope you enjoyed walking round our cemetery. You're more than welcome to video Brookwood cemetery in the floods in the winter. When it's flooded, it was bad one this year 2024. No joke.🌬⛅️⛈️☀️🌤😎👍

Thank you so much for covering this. I heard of this cemetery and was so intrigued, especially since I heard they had a railway ferrying those to be interred all the way from London.
