Oh,🙄 gott corelli?? Diese Interpretation von "recondita armonia" hat corelli niemals zu keiner Zeit seiner Karriere so geschmackvoll zu interpretieren vermocht. (Vielleicht in seinen jungen Jahren) bist er dann diese grauenhafte Manier des ständigen "scoopings"der Töne sich angewöhnte. Ich denke sie meinen die Qualität von corellis klangmaterial. Das war natürlich hervorragend, aber in der Interpretation war corelli meist nicht anzuhören!

It’s close. At least he understands not to try to make his voice an unnatural color. But it’s still not fully natural, still sounds “placed” in the throat and so the voice is slightly reedy and “veiled” and can’t blossom with the warmth size and ease it could. Like at 2:03 on “mistero” you hear the vowels are still rather muddy and buzzy from trying to “push” onto the voice which ironically makes it weaker and less clear while requiring more vocal effort. The high note at 2:40 the kind of reedy/buzzy sound indicative of hyperfunction is most obvious but it’s a deficit through the entire voice. Unfortunately it seems in singers like this they never break past a wall to become as good as say Pavarotti or even higher, Gigli, because they focus so much on refining what’s there rather than understanding there’s still some minor fundamental problems with the base tone itself. You can hear his voice is quite refined in that it’s unified in technique from bottom to top. Often this gives an impression of a complete technique. When a voice is unified, it can mask the fundamental problems because you don’t hear “oh this is very off at this part of the voice!” Improving the fundamental production of sound is hard because it challenges very firmly entrenched muscle memory and even psychological identity and mind to body connection I think he’s a true light lyric tenor; his voice is very similar to early years Di Stefano. His Che Chelida manina from 3 years ago sounded more naturally placed despite the voice sounding less mature. Perhaps, like Di Stefano, he also wished his voice was bigger than it was

Hm, I like that. And now please don't overdo it and sing the really difficult parts. Keep the voice lyrical and avoid all the mistakes that Kaufmann, for example, makes, then you could have a great career.
