Does beta 300 have the bottom grunt of a 450? I’m considering one but never rode a 300. I love My 450 but want to try something new with power, nimbleness, an reliable.
@calebhunger2 жыл бұрын
A ktm 450 has around 58hp and weighs about 15 lbs more. The 300rr bats in at 45hp or so and is lighter by a bit. The 300s power band is much more aggressive and it had alot more hp down in the lower gears and rpms whereas you only see the 450s raw power show through in the dunes/ big tracks. Having rode both the 2022 ktm 450 and beta 300 I would say they have equal grunt. Neither is nimble tbh if you want somthing that feels nimble look at the beta 200. Thats a snappy fun bike that truely feels light for its power. The 300 feels like a 450 race bike tbh.
@verttisyrjala28972 жыл бұрын
@@calebhunger 45 hp is a little low for a 300, unless the Beta has less hp than the KTMs. Also no 450 has that much horsepower, unless you're talking about crank hp. Realistic numbers for 300s (WHP) around 44-50, 450s, maybe 48-54.
@calebhunger2 жыл бұрын
@@verttisyrjala2897 sorry to burst any bubbles but the ktm 450 sxf is at 60+whp the beta 300rr is an enduro bike but most 450s are well past 55whp now days while the 300 is at 48whp with an aftermarket head. This video shows that the 2021 300rr has plenty of get up. It's just not as much as a 450 as its supposed to be a bike that can handle enduro which a 450 wont as well.
@verttisyrjala28972 жыл бұрын
@@calebhunger Not a single one of the brand new 450s make 60whp. Bhp yes, not WHP. Hondas 450 is the most powerful one, a dyno comparision on yt shows it making 54,2 WHP, if I remember the number right.

I believe so, it's just dependent on if the dealership typically imports European or Japanese motorcycles. So you might have to look around your state a bit. I've noticed quite a few betas and gas gas bikes watching some Enduro races based in the states so they're definitely out there.

Don't know what the uploader runs, but I've had nothing but good results running Maxima Castor 927 between 32:1 and 40:1 ratios. I have about 150 hours on my engine, and the cylinder and piston look immaculate. Cross hatching is beautiful and damn near zero carbon, and the plug has a proper chocolate brown buildup. It is a rather viscous oil so 32:1 may impede fuel flow a bit especially if your carb has a power jet, but at 36:1 and 40:1 it crisps the throttle response and top end power right up while providing adequate lubrication.

@100GTAGUY2 жыл бұрын
If you want a new bike bad enough you'll find a way to work for it man. The satisfaction of blood, sweat, and tears going into something you want is well worth the time and effort. My dad told me when I was 15 if I cleaned up our boat and got it running again to sell it he'd put that money aside for me to get a bike, and I did just that and now have that lovely KX250 in my pfp nine years later and cherish the hell out of it. A few years after I bought the kx I was working in not so great conditions for a few years basically but with minimum wage and ended up buying a badass Vespa 250 that does 90mph from my uncle as well. However you can buy a few raffle tickets from various companies that occasionally give away bikes but there's no guarantee of winning. Then it's just money down the drain you could've saved for a new bike.
