@@tommymarco it can be easier but it usually gets harder as you get older. Just doing the right process doesn't always mean you get the right answer. They usually include "distracters" which come from common mistakes on a problem. English is a pain in multiple choice for AP tests bc all the answers can be a possibility but you have to choose the best one. Most people prefer open ended in higher classes bc in some cases you can get partial credit even if the answer is wrong

If you guys want to be super successful in life, you should know the commutative, associative, and distributive laws. The commutative law (which applies to addition and multiplication) says that a+b=b+a and a×b=b×a for any numbers a and b. It does not apply to, say, subtraction since a−b is not the same as b−a. The associative law, which also applies to addition and multiplication, says that (a+b)+c=a+(b+c) and also that (a×b)×c=a×(b×c). The distributive law, which applies to multiplication _over_ addition says that a×(b+c)=a×b+a×c and also that (a+b)×c=a×c+b×c. Applying the distributive law twice, gives the so-called "FOIL" rule: (a+b)×(c+d)=a×c+a×d+b×c+b×d. Understanding how these laws apply to numbers and basic arithmetic operations provides a good foundation for the study of abstract algebra, where one studies more general mathematical objects for which one can define binary operations which satisfy all or some of these properties. This leads to the study of such things as groups, rings, and fields.
