Two RS3 videos in one day? Let's go!!!!!! My wife and I have an SQ5 and A3 with plans to get the 8Y or 8Y.5 RS3. I love the FL5, but this one makes more sense for us to get as a family. I know my wife is gonna have fun in this. Can't wait.
@BrosFOURRSpeed6 күн бұрын
Oh cool! Yeah the RS3 has that extra refinement level that my wife really likes. Really can drive like a nice Audi but still turn into a rocket of a sportscar!

8y.5?

If you both have your own key when you unlock the car and open the door the seat should automatically adjust according to the seat position you saved when you last drove.
@BrosFOURRSpeed8 сағат бұрын
Oh thats cool. We do have two keys. But I keep all our spare keys in a separate spot. We really only drive this car together and most of the time switch driving during the day while already out and about. Easy enough to press the button on the door

I knew speedemon would be here haha....fun little cars but I always felt I was driving a very fast Corolla with cool sounding motor
@BrosFOURRSpeed6 күн бұрын
Has much nicer interior materials then the Corolla tho. It's certainly a compact sedan. But when you do some mods it starts feeling like a budget M3 or GTR over anything else
@fzr10009816 күн бұрын
@BrosFOURRSpeed my preference is rwd or rear biased, just feels more natural in corners
@BrosFOURRSpeed6 күн бұрын
@@fzr1000981I do agree with that. M2 is what I’d personally buy over the RS3. But my wife likes the AWD and 4 doors. So this is her ideal car. It it’s fun to have the traction with the RS3’s AWD system. It hooks and makes it super fun to drive

Great 1-year review! I noticed you mentioned NC, and I remember your 'I Drove My Lamborghini To My Old High School' video, was shot around Raleigh as well. Were you the one driving through North Hills, Raleigh (Six Forks Road) a few weeks ago? I saw a Turbo Blue RS3 that flashed their lights at me (I was driving the 2024 Kyalami Green RS3), and I flashed back. :D

I actually feel the opposite... I find that full-on comfort mode makes the car way too anemic. At least as far as the power and transmission goes. The one way that you can completely transform the car is when you go from D to S in the transmission. If you're driving in comfort mode and put the transmission in S, it still feels super sporty, but if you put everything into full aggressive, but leave the transmission in D, it feels like a Civic EX. The thing does not move. And then when you put it in RS performance, Even if you're just gently feathering the throttle it will stay in first all the way till red line, then in second all the way till red line, even if you're just gently applying the throttle, it just sits in that gear. That's one weird thing about the transmission. In my golf R, Even in full race mode, if I was just gently cruising and pushing the throttle maybe 20%, it would shift around 3500, because the DCT would realize I'm Not trying to push it. So it actually did some thinking for you. RS3 and performance mode just goes to redline whether you're flooring it or whether you're just slightly touching the throttle. I mean those are tiny little nothing gripes. Overall it's amazing, and I wouldn't change it for the world
@BrosFOURRSpeed23 сағат бұрын
Yeah it's an interesting car overall. Has some unique aspects. Lots of fun overall with good luxuries that we enjoy

3:30 This is definitely part of the problem with most new cars these days. SO much tech thrown in that 99% of people will never use.
@BrosFOURRSpeed5 күн бұрын
Yup! I'm finding all I need is a backup camera screen with HD graphics and wireless Apple CarPlay. I do like a screen to monitor engine vitals tho like what the Type-R has. But thats it. All the other stuff in the screen I never even touch

You said that the RPMs hang a little too long even in comfort mode. In my 24 S3 as long as I have it in comfort and I have the shifter in “D” instead of “S” the car calms down. I’m sure you know this but just in case. I appreciate your videos 👍
@BrosFOURRSpeed6 күн бұрын
Yeah the S3 is much different. We had an S3 before this and it did a great job in each mode. RS3 even in D in comfort will hold the revs very high for quite a while thinking your still driving aggressive. In S it's even more which makes sense. But I wish D could chill out a bit

23 mpg actually means 18 mpg in reality when you fill up and do the math with the miles per gallon instead of looking at the computer unfortunately 😅

I regularly get a calculated mpg of 29-31 mpg. I accelerate hard and drive turnpike speeds of 80mph plus. My S3 got 34mpg on the hwy. Racing, I get 5 mpg.
