It is not racism, it's about hygiene. Sorry to say but there are some foreigners that seem not to be taking baths every day. How did I know. I have an Australian friend before we used to skate almost everyday. I'm noticing he is changing his clothes everyday but he smells bad. Until I asked him when was the last time he took a bath and he mentioned a week ago. I asked him why. he said they were used to it because the weather in his country is cold. I don't know if it's true I have never been to Australia. But I think that is the reason why some foreigners smell so bad. Not saying all. Some of them.

Brother I am very sorry to hear that. I am a FILIPINO myself. Our culture are very particular with HYGIENE and smell. smell on the body and smell on the mouth. We grow up of taking a bath EVERYDAY (full shower- a shampoo on the head and a soap on the body). Filipino babies are already in bathing rituals everyday BUT a used of a lukewarm water in a basin. Bacteria in the body can cause a bad odor. In the western, eastern middle east, africa and some other asian like chinese, and indians they dont take their babies on bathing EVERYDAY especially if it is a newborn. If we go outside under the heat of the sun, we usually changed our clothes or do shower. For us, sweating can cause bad odor. Mostly filipinos had HALF BATH (meaning- showering the body with soap but not the head before going sleep at night.) Two types of rituals : 1) Full bath in the morning before going to work, schools or any activities 2) Half bath in the night before sleep due to some activities on the day. Others would take 3 baths if it is summer. Our parents since childhood will shout us if we don't take a bath because we believe in cleanliness. Among ASIAN country, filipinos observed bathing EVERYDAY. I could smell two (2) nationalities having bad smell on their armpit in 20 or 50 meters away in an open air. It cause me severe headache especially if they are using perfume, the mixtures cause me severe headache. Its normal for us to be frank with other filipinos if they smell bad and says please take a bath BUT not to foreigners to avoid insult. Racism is not part on our culture. We just dont like bad smell. If a filipino has a bad smell, it is a questions

South East Asian culturally are clean and take a bath often. They tend to have very sensitive noses to body odor. So please if go there, use antiperspirant and bath often especially if you go to crowded places. Also they will not want to embarrass you so they give you a signal by holding their noses or go to the other side of the room. In Thailand they would ask, have you showered or not yet? Many foreigners would take offense at that, but they are just concern for you. Because it is hot and humid there and a shower makes you more comfortable. When you know the culture you will not be so easily offended.

I think, bad body odor always smells bad regardless of color eh? Sometimes, your own nose just get immune to your own body odor, so you cannot clearly distinguish if you smell bad or not. There are even people who will cover their odor with so much perfume, which, by itself, becomes suffocating also. You cannot always point this to racism. Who are you to question people for covering their nosel, just so you dont feel offended? I am a Filipino and I had been with all race of people. I tell you, I dont care what color your skin is, if you smell bad, i will cover my nose or go away from you.

I don’t mean this to be offensive, but one time I was next to two African women in a store and they had terrible underarm order. Perhaps the Filipinos or one of their friends had a bad experience once. I am black so I put extra effort into my hygiene because I know that by default I represent the entire race.

😂🤣! Really? Do you know how many White people and Asian people I been around that smelled bad? And I wasn't stupid enough to think that all Asian people and all White people smell bad. And truth be told White people and Asian don't bathe or take a shower everyday. But most often Black people take showers or bathe everyday. Most Black people don't like to not take a bathe or shower daily in comparison to white people and Asian people who might take a shower or bathe ounce every 5 days. Facts! We taught Caucasian people how to bathe through Musa (Moses) when he went to Europe to Civilize them from the caves but even still most of them don't like to bathe or shower everyday and some Asians are like that too!

How can you complain about the racism of non-black people at the same time that you are interested in dating and marrying the same non-black races who are discriminating against you and oppressing you? I am not defending the opposition (non-black groups) I am just trying to underline a behaviour that makes no sense in black society.

The thing is when people sweat, odour also comes out and sometimes it is really intolerable. I was guilty of covering my nose once or twice in elevator going to and coming home from work but that time I was under chemotherapy and my sense of smell elevated to the highest level that I feel nauseated sensing even a slightest bad odour. Not all Filipino meant to discriminate or humiliate when they do this but it is true that there are those who are really rude with attitudes. On the other side though, paying attention to good personal hygiene doesn't hurt and boosts ones self esteem.

The Filipinos in the Arab world are suffering, they are treated as slaves literally so their hatred is projection. Ones who are in the United States often come from wealthier more educated families so they are not living under the same conditions as the ones in the Arab world. Especially hygiene, we don’t like bad breath, smelly feet or underarm, body odor especially in public transportation. All Filipinos do that in all of us. And they’ll called it out, then laughing about it. It’s not racism about your race believe me. We all experienced that with our own people. It’s normal to us, it happens to us in daily lives.
