Thank you, this was exactly what I needed! Couldn't work out why the loops were going past the edge of the fabric, but tension settings didn't fix it. Took many videos and blog posts before I found the answer here. Much obliged.

This is exactly what I’ve been looking for such a long time. Step by step for everything I need. I bought a serger that did not have the DVD’s or the techniques booklet so was stumped. I have watched so many on utube that have not been any help at all. So delighted to have found your video’s. I have some cuffs on a dog suit to shorten. The material is 89% SUPPLEX 11% LYCRA. 4 way stretch. Please could you tell me what settings to use for this. Do I need stretch needles and a fabric stabiliser to do it single thickness. I notice with the 4 thread, you doubled the material but with the 3 thread, you didn’t. The original factory overlock is quite wide so looks more decorative, more robust. Much appreciate any advice you can give me on this and do you have a video for serving organza or advice on that please. Many thanks

Have you done a video on taking the stitch finger out and putting it back in? I put mine back in and it will not work all the thread piles on the fingers... I cut out thread and remove stitch finger and it works again . I’m at a loss :(

Watch all 33 episodes, order a serger, watch them again while you wait and you will ask yourself a week after it arrives "WHY did I WAIT SOOO LONG" I was using a four thread overlock to reinforce crotch seams on leggins and put to much pressure on the right needle and it hit the plate breaking it in half. I cleared away the needle and thread and finished with a 3 thread overlock. The shank was still in the head but not "the needle"
