Thank you so much for this review. I am looking to buy a new overlocker, and am seriously considering this machine. From what I can tell, it seems to have most, if not all, the features of the Elna 664 at a far lower price!

Hi Jenny, it s only a pleasure! I have been selling the Brother overlockers for almost 27 years, and used to give hands-on machine workshops to customers who owned all different brands of machines. By the time everyone had gone home with their machines - I always wanted to hug my Brother Overlocker! Many of the attendees would leave the class and promptly sell their machines and replace them with the Brother - simply because they saw how easy and reliable my Brother was to use. Look out for my Overlocker training course that will be available during November 2020 on my website. :-) Drop me a line at info@sewandcraftstepbystep.com if you are interested in purchasing a machine.

Thank you for the quick and easy tutorial, well done. I want to buy it but I find it too noisy compared to my Janome 644d that I've had for 15years. But I suppose I'll have to buy it since I don't really have much of a choice...

Hi Khanyo, Please pop me an email at info@sewandcraftstepbystep.com The reason that the Brother overlocker is more noisy, is because it is actually based on an Industrial overlocker, which is noisy. So it is essentially an industrial styled machine in a domestic machine casing. This is also the reason why it is so reliable and gives many many years of hassle free service. I am about to release an Overlocker course which has hints and tips for making it sound less noisy. I hope this is helpful.😀 Have a great day. Now work with flatlock topstitching ? Thank you
@SewandCraftStep-by-Step3 жыл бұрын
Hi Anny, Yes the machine can do Flat-locking by simply adjusting tensions. It can create 2 types. 1. Flat-locking which shows a ladder stitch and 2. Flat-locking that shows the Looper - or topstitch type thread. You can even use decorative thread to create ore stunning looks. I m busy putting together some tutorials on how to do this - so please be sure to SUBSCRIBE to my channel and click on the little BELL icon below my video - so you will be informed when it is ready. Also please feel free to like my Facebook page as I will be posting things there too. facebook.com/sewandcraft1/ Have a great day! Kind Regards, Sherine Haines

I'm sure you'd be an excellent teacher but you are too far away from the microphone and even with my volume up full both on the computer and even put through the TV, you are very hard to hear.. I really want to watch your videos as this is my first overlocker and need all the help I can get . I hope you get your microphone fixed. as you need to be heard VERY clearly. Thank you for your time, I look forward to some further videos as it looked like you were being very thorough otherwise :)

You could try watching in the early hours of the morning when your neighbourhood isn't fully awake. There's little or no noise to make it difficult to hear her. I've just watched the video at 5:48am and her voice was calm and clear.
