Dropping the bass has the music become like more dubstep-like. It has the song have more beat and deeper. Like theres words then when you drop the bass it usually becomes full beat. So not dropping the bass would just have alot of like I dunno beats and stuff to it with words always in it. Im not sure. But once you drop the bass you can usually tell its dubstep or something in the line. They dont mean turn down the full music they just mean like change the beat. Not sure but it makes songs good.
