Brother F016: The budget Esee 3 knockoff you need?

A quick look the probably bootlegged Brother F016 that at the time of filming comes in under $40. We do a few reasonable tests that would be necessary for preparing a meal in a survival camp with this budget bushcraft blade. But is it worth your hard earned? When the testing is done we will send it to another KZbinr to continue the testing, and so on and so on.

Just came across one of your videos yesterday…and this video just popped into my feed now…I appreciate the raw, Guerilla style of filming of practical applications of this knife…I love my Esee 6 but I am impressed with the performance and value of this blade…educational and entertaining…keep up the great work and content…liked and subscribed 💯🤙🏽🤩

@@kukuinut7114 appreciate the support. I really like my Esee 6 as well but as I am sure you have found, it is a tank. These f16 are a decent option for supplying several kits or squaring away your first load out.

I have an f012 scandi in d2, so I was interested to see how it performed. I’m surprised those sticks caught as it was kindling not tinder.

@@michaelwaldeck7081 there was a cotton ball with candle wax on it, I have found that if the wood is dry there is no need to process tinder because it burns long enough to catch the sticks. It is a strategy I developed haven’t spent much of my life in the soggy Olympic National Forest of Washington state where natural tinder is scarce.
