Is it possible to install super high yield TN-426 (EU code) - 6000pages aprox. into this printer? Officially they do not mention it in product specs (product spec says only TN-421 1800pages, TN-423 4000 pages) so i dont know how the printer can handle the extra capacity without telling that toner is empty. I would not like to waste ink and money on not used ink. Thank you

Does the double-sided scanning work with the latest mac OS and what program do you use for scanning. The older Models weren't supproted anymor after the switch to the 64bit mac OS version. Also did you try the scan to USB function? Does this work with Duplex too and does it generate the searchable PDFs from text? Thanks in advance.

Can this laser colour printer enlarge and reduce photocopies in any increments below 25%? Many printers only do between 25 and 400%. I need the smaller increments.

You can opt for compatible toner, drum and consumables provided it's after warranty period. Otherwise the warranty will be void.

Thanks mate, used it for around 100 prints so far, no issues or toner replacements yet. The only thing I would say is that I've never so far found the need to scan anything, I tend to just use my phone instead.

It's just a USB cable, but you can also plug it into a router too and share it across the wifi/network.

Your knowledge of IT security leaves a lot to be desired. WIFI is no less secure since it will be connected to your WIFI network and assuming you set that up correctly it should be secure. The chances are nobody is sitting in range hacking your wifi network. Also firmare update works on a pull mechanism polling the manufacturers web site for updates. It's not a push and since your are behind your router with firewall, assuming you didn't turn that off, so nothing on the internet can hit your printer directly - unless, of course, you set up a port forward to it, but why would you do that?!?
