As sung by Brother Marvin from Trinidad and Tobago. 1. Kumayeho zindaweho (victory!), kumayeh zindaweh (long live !), aye-aye-yo. I am the seed of my father; who is the seed of my (paternal) grandfather; Who is the seed of my par-aaja (great-grandfather) - he came from Calcutta. With a stick & a bag on his shoulder; his pagri (turban) & his kapra (clothes). So I am part-seed of India, India ! [ bahut = very ] This indenture-ship and this slavery; bound together two races in unity. Achchha dosti [ good friendship ]; there was no more Mother Africa; No more Mother India, just Mother Trini; janma bhoomi [land of birth]. My dear par-aaja planted sugar-cane; down in the Caroni plain. So Ramlogan, Basdeo, Prakash, and I - we're jahaaji bhai. (Ref) Brotherhood of the boat, jahaaji bhai [ship mates (brothers)]. (2) 2. I would be a disgrace to Allah; if I chose race, creed, or colour. My par-aaja had to make that journey; for I to have zindagi [life]. So it is a great privilege, to have such a unique heritage; Fifty percent Africa, fifty percent India, India ! I have "do chhutti" [ two holidays ] - Emancipation and Arrival Day. Anta bhala, so bhala. [ All is well, that ends well. ] Since (the ship) Fatel Razack made the journey; 150 years gone already. Bahut achchha [very good]; whether you're Hindu, Muslim, or Christian. Let's walk this land hand in hand; we'd only prosper if we try as jahaaji bhai.(Ref) 3. Kumayeho zindaweyo; kumayeh zindawey aye-aye-yo, kumayeho zindaweyo. O mera dost, mera saathi; chal tahalna ek mat, agal bagal. [O my friend, my companion; let's stroll together, side by side.] For those who're playing ignorant; talking 'bout true African descendant. If you want to know the truth; take a trip back to your roots. And somewhere on that journey; you will see a man in a dhoti; Saying his prayers in front of a jhandi (flag/banner), jhandi ! Then and only then you'll understand; what is a cosmopolitan nation. Haath milaao [let's join hands]; there's no room for prejudice at all. United we'll stand, divided we'll fall; so to all races here in Trinbago Bachchho' baat ko suno; aapko kalyaan ho, dhanya ho. [Children, listen to what I'm saying; may you prosper, may you be blessed.] Let us live as one, under the sky - as jahaaji bhai. (Refrain) 4. Indo- and Afro- Trinibagonian, we should learn to be one. Our ancestors came by boat, with the salt water in their throat. Great-grandma and great-grandpa; one was a slave, and one was indentured, indentured (another kind of slavery)! But the religion or color; didn't intefere with their love for one another; Nahi', nahi' [no, no]. I am the proof of racial unity; and that is the way everybody should be; achchha shaanti [peace-loving] . Everybody should have that tone in their prayer; let's show each other we care. As we all know on Carnival Day, unity is there - jahaaji bhai. (Refrain) Kumayeho zindaweho; kumayeh zindaweh aye-aye-yo, kumayeho zindaweho. . [Everyone should be aware that DNA studies proved that ALL of humanity came out of AFRICA. Yes those outside Africa do have a tiny bit of Neanderthal or Denisovan genes.] .

Sadly enough, some of our African Trini put him down and became cynical of Brother Marvin saying in the song No more More Mother Africa , only Trinidad now. I genuinely don't believe Bro Marvin meant anything wrong at all just that he could have said from " from Mother Africa , we are now Trinidad .But it goes to show how some of our African West Indian brothers can misinterpreting and misinformed only understanding their own racial flaws. This song is truly loved by 99% Indians in Guyana , Suriname and the Caribbean but many African brothers and sisters so cynically objected to it that it caused more division than ever. SELF RIGHTEOUSNESS CAN BE A CRIME.

Just one part of the song said ' no Mother Africa but Trinidad. Perhaps Brother Marvin could have said, from Mother Africa we are Trinidad because we born in Trinidad .Yet I don't see the baseless point in bashing the man's intelligence and understanding making it as if he is a criminal.
