August 21, 2020 BTS debuted "Dynamite." And yes, their first all English song. Why was this so important? And very integral to their history? Many reasons. Even though BTS had toured in the U.S. already, the radio stations did not play their songs. They believed no one would listen to Korean language songs. When "Dynamite" came out all the radio stations finally started playing this song. You could hear it everywhere. In elevators. In depaetment stores. In grocery stores. I remember the "Today" show adopted it as their song for their opening. And The Tonight Show. And other shows! And the song hit #1 on Billboard. Find the video where BTS are announcing it to their fans, Army, and you can hear BTS screaming and screaming with delight. Later they would tell us their stories of when they first found out. And how they cried and cried. It was #1 for weeks and weeks. Guess what finally replaced their #1 song? Their next English speaking song "Butter!" How many weeks was it #1? I'll let you do the research. So what song replaced "Butter" as #1. Guess? Again, I'll let you do your research. Their huge climb to fame in all the world began. They had NO idea they would ever become so popular. And the #1 group in the world. Those same 7 boys who slept in that one bedroom when they all started. You'll see that when you watch "The Guide..." I’m American and I will say I am not a huge fan of the current American pop sound even though I grew up with pop. However I do appreciate the English songs BTS put out because it brought rays of sunlight during such a dark time (pandemic shutdown).

This song was also my introduction to BTS. And, like so many others, I was pretty down at that time and they were so cheerful and cute, I couldn't help but watch other songs, nob just the ones in English, and did I fall hard. My family thought I was crazy at f first but some joined in and were also hooked. Thanks for brightening up my morning 💜

I was born and raised in the west but I’m of Asian decent. I have never been a fan of pop. Especially super bubble gum pop. I had heard of the 3 bts English songs before becoming an army and was not impressed. It just sounded like generic pop. But after becoming Army and learning about them and their story and the reason behind the 3 English songs, it elevated the songs for me. It’s not your meaningless pop. It’s well produced and there’s a reason behind it and they put so much effort into it. I can find joy listening to these 3 songs now. I especially found it fascinating and impressive that they kept altering the choreo and the song for every live performance. That’s dedication man! That’s the thing with BTS, their discography is so vast there’s something for everyone and every mood. I still prefer other songs from their discography, but when these songs get played between other songs, I love it. Gives a fun little break between their more serious songs. Can’t wait for the guide!

When the two of you make short comments during the videos, between your accents, and the fact that we are somewhat immersed in the song, we can't often catch what you said. Having CC on doesn't help in previous videos of yours or this one that I've watched up to about 3 minutes so far -- as the CC are showing the song lyrics, and doesn't often catch your brief background comments. Please pause to comment. Also, it frustrates me that guy #2 on our right tries so hard to learn the faces/names -- being so handicapped by not watching any Who Are BTS type introduction videos, or articles -- and Guy #1 on left doesn't do what I'd think was natural, by identifying each member as they appear in each MV, or at least always telling him the correct name when he guesses wrong. Edit: I'm sure many Internationals would agree that no mater how many dozens of times we have watched BTS mvs, we still enjoy seeing the English subs, in large enough font, even for their accented English parts and songs. It also helps us to know the reactors are seeing the lyrics as well. One more thing, at 2:59 "American aesthetic" is mentioned, and I suppose the visuals do reflect that, sort of 1950's - 1960's California or Florida, but the lyrics were largely taken from and credited to a couple of Brits, and I never thought that the wording was very good.

If and when you get around to watching the Spring Day MV, please also watch the Explained video to understand all the symbolism in the MV. While the song is indeed beautiful, it is near impossible to grasp the genius of the MV without knowing all the symbolism. Eventually I would love to watch Noel's reaction to 2018 MMA "Idol" and 2019 MMA "Dionysus". To say that they are iconic, would be an understatement.

Actually this song is the last track in the album name 'BE' fun fact is that BTS was gonna take break after this album because of military enlistment but this song dynamite blew up all over the world also break multiple records and that time because of COVID - 19 people are all time on phone or home so this song reach many of general public and offcourse ARMY hypes this so much because this is in english and having catchy summer vibes...gives BTS a huge popularity at that time and also this is the song which spent most weeks in billboard #1 song in hot 100 ...after dynamite huge success govt. It’s always fun to hear other ppl’s army stories😆 Mine was my favourite athlete was lip syncing to their song in warm up, I got curious and looked up the choreo/dance practice. Then one dance practice led to the next, then I watched some performances, then I wanted to tell them apart so I watched intro videos (using voice was most effective for me back then). Magic shop live performance was the moment I admitted to myself that I’m ARMY😂

BO the way your eye's lighten up & your big baby smile came out when Noel said he's enjoying song it's so pleasing. I like how Noel explain the things. He's like a storyteller. He has such a great imagination power. The sudden realization that he's not in California when he dropped the phone I'm sorry but that was so funny😄 Would love to know more about his fantasy world in upcoming videos.
