Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I was struggling trying to figure out why my Scan and cut wasn’t cutting around my images correctly. I tried everything that I knew how to do. I couldn’t figure it out. I was sooooo frustrated! So I looked on U-tube hopefully looking for help and I found you! Thank you so much! My Scan and Cut is now cutting out my images evenly on all sides! You’re the BEST!!!

Do you need to adjust the settings everytime you wanna cut or only once?
@tracilynn05 Жыл бұрын
@@Miguelscrochet Only once. I am going to check the alignment every so often if I see anything suspicious when cutting my images.

THANK YOU! I'm a new SNC user and the main reason I bought it was to cut out stamped images. I was disappointed that outline wasn't quite right straight out of the box. I'm so glad I can fix it now.

Thanks Kim. I didn't realize doing it more than once and that lights make a difference. I’m like you,,,I like things right! 🤪 Merry Christmas!

Oh yes, I’ve had to do it several times before it was right. Doesn’t matter if I say Yes or No - it is just a matter of testing it until it is just the way I like it. Merry Christmas 🎄 to you!

I did not have any 12 x 12 white card stock, so I followed your instructions using the back of the designer series paper insert that has the name of the paper on it that’s white and it worked perfectly

I’m glad you are resourceful. The bigger question is how do you function without 12” white cardstock? Lol

Question: I need to laminate items that I scan and cut. Will the SDX125E be able to do this? Using the area where you can cut outside to the lines? I haven't received mine yet and I have a childcare and have lots of teaching Projects that I need to scan cut and laminate. It would save me from cutting them out from the laminate. Thank you for all your videos. I am learning sooo much. I have a Maker but thought this was easier to scan for my childcare.
@PaperedChef2 жыл бұрын
Because the SDX cuts thicker materials than the CM models, it is better for that. However, the scanner is already quirky so the glare from the plastic may make it take longer to get good results than scissors. Give it a try. Cutting out the cardstock itself is easy if your shapes have black outlines. Thanks for watching Christina. Feel free to ask question in my ScanNCut Group. facebook.com/groups/paperedchefscanncut

How often do you have to recalibrate it? Have they updated to a manual adjustments yet? I'm hoping to get this machine for my birthday.

Nichole, the older models allowed to to adjust manually. This one doesn't. I calibrate it every couple of weeks. I use my machine a lot. Thanks!

Thanks Kim great tips. I've found that if I have trouble scanning I turn off my overhead light (the only light in my area) and it scans correctly. Still have the cm350 and it works great!

I love your videos - they are so helpful! When I scan on Whisper White, the paper sticks to the mat. Do I need to use a low tack mat?
@PaperedChef4 жыл бұрын
All mats become low tack mats pretty soon. I recommend doing the welcome project so that your mat will get conditioned. You can wash off the paper that gets stuck with warm soapy water. I use Dawn.
@PaperedChef4 жыл бұрын
Here is the project to start with. Use the paper like this with low fiber first.

Hi there. I found your video on tips and tricks. Thank you. I bought the SNC wholly for cutting out stamped images if I don't have a die. My question is why does my scanned image only show some parts that will be cut and not the whole image? I make sure that the image is well stamped with no broken lines, and sometimes it will come out OK and sometimes not. I haven't found any answers on Google yet. Hope you can help me. Thank you.

Kim, can I ask you if you know anything about the SDX 225F SCAN&CUT MACHINE?

Deborah, I’m a paper crafter so I don’t need the F editions. The F is for Fabric. You will get s fabric mat, project and be able to work with your Brother sewing machines. Just more file types.

Vicki, please always check on my website or sign up for my newsletter here. That way, you can always see my coupons. I teach how to download fonts and images in my courses. I cover these topics once in a while on KZbin. It is just that I cover way more details in my courses than I do on KZbin. Will this machine cut the arms out like in the original bear?
@PaperedChef3 жыл бұрын
It is very tricky but I have a lot of tutorials you can search for on Scan to Cut Data. That is how to cut out the inside lines. Not worth the time in my opinion. Scissors would be faster. Thanks for watching.
