I took a close look at my mother’s brother VX-808 sewing machine. The hand wheel has a screw in it. So it doesn’t loosen or tighten. I think you’re supposed to refill the bobbin manually by using the hand wheel to get the level up. Then you pull the thread out of the tension and do it manually.

You should not have to refill the bobbin manually.

My bobbin keeps getting stuck. I don’t know anything about these machines except for what I just learned watching this video, but can you tell me why the thread keeps getting stuck? Ha! 🙏 🤷‍♀️

Hi! I have a similar brother VX807, but it doesn't make continues stiches (sometimes makes the loop with the thread on the bobbin and sometimes don't but both threads continue to come out together), do you know what I can do to repair it?

It’s hard to diagnose. First thing I recommend is thoroughly cleaning the machine. Look in the owners manual to see what it recommends. Also oil the machine if the manual gives instructions on it. Be sure to remove the face plate to clean around the feed dogs. I find that area clogs with fibers pretty quickly and causes problems. Good luck!
