I had never heard of Brother Yun until Summer 2019. Then I bought his book Heavenly Man and I read it in 2.5 days. I couldn't put it down. What the Lord Jesus did in him, his family and the Chinese believers were just unbelievable.

James M reviewed the book, 'Heavenly Man', which sheds light on the adventurous and miraculous life of Liu Zhenying (known as Brother Yun) as an evangelist in China. The book, which is Yun's autobiography, describes the severe and unbelievable persecutions that he endured under the Communist regime for Christ's sake. The book challenges the conventional notions of "being a good Christian", and reminds us that true Christianity is not a bed of roses. Along and between his personal experiences, Yun adds valuable insights from the Scripture to keep the reader engaged to the underlying message of the book: "Like master, like servant." How this Heavenly Man survive the communist persecution is itself a great miracle.Jesus Himself was protecting him, feeding him, freeing him from prison.Can you imagine fasting for 74 days & lived to tell us his life, his suffering & how the Lord sustained him.??? After 74 days of fasting, he was bones & skin & his wife vehemently denied he is her husband because he was unrecognizable like dead skeleton.

Great attempt by the translator! However, quite a bit of the translation wasn't so accurate and included "elaboration" that Bro Yun didn't exactly mention.

Peter tells us that God's people should be as one and not separated. Why then is their Presbyterian churches, 7 day Adventist churches etc... the west is in shambles, the people of God have separated themselves JUST like PETER said in the Bible. This church and the congregation seem spiritual dead, even being told when to say " Amen!?!🤦🏾‍♂️" ...what a sad state the Christian Chirch is in💯 I am a follower of Jesus...NOTHING ELSE💯💯

Because people make false teachings and start churches/followings following those false teachings very sadly. Churches differentiate their teaching by calling themselves different names like "Baptist" for example... And also just because some people are told to say or don't say "amen" during a sermon doesn't mean they're spiritually dead.

And the best part is HE sees your sin and died for you anyway! Luke 15:7 "I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance."
