Couldn't agree more. I actually worked up a billiard ball routine and it is insanely hard been doing magic for 30 years and this has to be the hardest when it comes to sleight of hand, but once you can do it the old boys give you heaps of respect

What a master. It wasn't just that he did this trick and others flawlessly, but that he kept on doing it week after week on TV. Paul Daniels was the best.

Paul Daniels was, and always will be, a master of the craft. I am truly sad that he has left us. I can only hope that the next generation of magicians, my generation, will be even a fraction, a tenth, as good as he was. For if they are, we shall see the world's greatest generation of performers.

It’s easy, you can see the shape of his had at the moneys he is holding the balls in his palm, most notably his left hand at the very begging of the trick as he walks on stage

If you watch at quarter speed you can clearly see the moments when the manipulation/deception happens… although it’s still unclear exactly where he puts balls/objects (I’m assuming they aren’t all real snooker balls). A lot of pocket work is my guess.😀

Even with slow motion you can't work out the whole act that's fantastic
@frankcolumbo34473 жыл бұрын
Couple of troublesome camera cuts at key moments here. I have been suspicious about him since he swore he didnt use stooges and clearly does on several stunts.
@97channel2 жыл бұрын
I know how it's done, and I can say that it's 100% pure skill and no camera trickery. It could be performed exactly the same to a live theatre audience. The moments which I suspect you think are otherwise impossible, they certainly appear that way but are actually extremely clever deceptions which require a very high level of skill to make the effect work. It's an honourable trick, no dirty methods.

No that is what people say when they can't work out how something is done . They think that magic should be simple to work out so therefore if they can't work it out he has to be breaking the rules which he did not

For someone who skilfully uses his hands & knows what his hands are doing all the time, he seems to forget what pocket his props are in 😂 or is that the way the disappeared object gets put in a pocket , (distraction) wow that’s magic 🙄 magic only wows the dumb.
@markusdeminger8811 Жыл бұрын
Even if this might not be the most technically difficult billard ball routine the execution is flawless and the presentation is great. The main goal of a magic trick is to entertain in the first place and if the performer succeeds in that everything is fine. A magicians job is not to outsmart the audience so not only the dumb can appreciate good magic.
@James-kv6kb Жыл бұрын
I was working at an adult party doing magic and did a simple trick were I vanish a red handkerchief into my hand . A few minutes later the host come up and said his brother was freaking out, he explained that his job was putting rockets into space but he could work out where the handkerchief was lol in my experience dumb people are actually really hard to perform for because they think you're suggesting that they're stupid or something and they get very angry I've had it many times
