@@Szykerseh but it wasn't too good to be true. They could have easily accomplished this. It's not that much different from what they achieved in the first two games on the previous generation. The problem was that call of duty modern warfare came out and changed people's expectations of what a war game should be. Everything became about arcade fast-paced shooting so they changed the formula and screwed all of us. I moved to PC, started playing Arma and never looked back.

Jesus they really just screwed everyone over. This looks 10x better then the current version. I remember I was in denial when I got this game cause it looked nothing like the demo I see here. Kept trying to figure out if there was another brothers in arms i didnt know about.

pre-rendered shit that isn't actual gamplay. I play in 2016 and decided to compare. It's not even close to this. it was too good to be true. Textures resolution is way higher here, lighting is better (can be compared to games that are released in 2015-2016), no cinematic scenes like when soldier falls down, or nazis help injured pal to walk, or when camera moves down when he reloads. fucking mess. how can you trust someone if everybody lies lol. welcome to real world, girls. this is life.

Gearbox have a ridiculous record of promising things in demos and not providing in final gameplay. Whenever I see a demo for a Gearbox game, i don't even bother watching it now because I know that the game is going to literally be NOTHING like the demo.

In EVERY way?, storyline, authenticity, tactics, characters are all better then any COD. I agree about the final game being SEVERELY dumbed down, if the devs knew this isnt what the final game would be like, then they should have never even shown this to us, because by doing that, its like teasing a baby with candy, and eventually giving him a big ugly spoon of medicine, then the baby is like, "WTF!", same thing here, we were teased by this demo for a long while, only to get a "meh" title.

then on the end of that area is a comunication post in a basement. if you get out that basement on the other side you are on the same place where the truck is where baker is lying under. then you can actually flank an 88 crew without they see you. just like you see here.

this mission is in the actual game, its in level 3 where paddock trows the sniper out. on some momemt you have to go in a basement where a german in busy with communications, after you kill that german and go out of the basement, you start in the beginning of this level, you are on a long road and thats actually the same road and the toy shop is replaced.

Shame they didn't follow up this title with Baker and the boys fighting in the Ardennes. I realize that this game came out right when the WW2 fad was growing stale and CoD MW4 redefined the military shooter, but jesus christ....about 10 years later now the modern military shooter concept is stale as fuck and I want to get back to firing the M1 garand at some Waffen SS. Firing an M4 carbine with a red dot sight and suppressor is neat, but holding a 10 pound chunk of wood in your hand that kicks like a mule and shits out a 30.06 round through iron sights while artillery rounds are spewing shrapnel all around you needs that next gen treatment. Let's do it.

its different but i explained wrong because didnt remember right. somewhere in the mission written in stone is a bombed out house what should have been the toyshop but its replaced. on the other side of the road you see an huge open area thats where the houses and the yards should have been you see here

I've mostly given up on videogames in the last few years. They were part of my early teen years but there's still nothing that exists that is this thoughtful and dynamic. This game ended up failing to deliver basically everything interesting about this demo, including the "first-person-actor" concept, which is STILL not anywhere to be seen, but hey, you have to respect how ambitious they were. Overshooting and failing is not so horrible when the concepts are out there now. I just wish someone rich would actually do something with them already...

No you dont have to use every bullet to reload a Garand, but it is hard to reload. Not impossible though

Heavenly Dirty this game was in development he’ll for years after this demo, it seems to me they totally scrapped this concept after new games like graw and r6 Vegas came out

I had a short conversation with an ex-BioWare employee, Mark Darrah, and he said that demos like this are handcrafted specifically for E3s and whatnot, to sell people a concept. When I confronted him, saying this is purposeful false advertising and bullshot bait, he replied with "it was just to show what we are (or were) going for with our game." Specifically, I asked him about ME3's bullshit marketing and Dragon Age: Inquisition lies. Egocentric game devs never admit their flaws. Always stick to their subjective point of view even when it's wrong.
