You're too kind with your words sir. A humble thank you, I lost track of if you had any questions you wanted an answer to in this vid? On thing is for sure though, you get what it's all about :D. *Stay true*

Just 2 questions: 1. what you meant by Kenaz Degaz (day of light?) 2. CAN I PLEASE BE UNVITED TO YOUR NEXT MEADFEST PARTY!? Looks like a total blast!!!

Also, I was wondering if you could email me a contact for your label's PR team. If you're interested, i would love to have you on my channel at some point. Especially before the new album releases! Tomservo78@gmail.com

@@HistoryBuff Kaunaz Dagaz means something like what you said. For us it's translated as Fire dawn. 2. Yeah sure! Running around utside either freezing or melting in the sun without propper clothes for a couple of days is great fun! Lets not talk about insects. xD

Late to the party mate, but "Swedish Kenny" might be the most accurate description for the lad. Loved the video!

"Weaver of Fate" is definitely one of my favorites from this band. It was a nice bonus to hear it again on this video.

I love their videos. they throw little bits of humor in them that you have to watch closely to see.

I think around 5:35, the goat you were wondering about producing mead is actually a nod to Heiðrún, the goat in Valhalla that makes mead for the einherjar. Fun little mythological easter egg!
@HistoryBuff3 жыл бұрын
Ahhhh!!! Makes sense! Does that also include the opening line, "THIS IS A SONG ABOUT DEATH MEAD AND A GOAT!"

@@HistoryBuff I think you're onto something! A repeating line in the Mead Song is "Mead! Another! From Heidruns teats an endless stream of mead!"

Look at the names at the end of Kaunaz Dagaz. They even list the goats name as Heidrun.

Fantastic band!! Love their music. Glad you found and enjoy them too. Check out Amon Amarth (Norse mythology), Powerwolf (mythology) & Manowar's "Achilles Agony & Ecstasy in Eight Parts" (Greek mythology).

Historical/mythological metal is really cool - and BoM definitely deliver! Thanks for giving them some more love! ^^ Personally, I love how they wove together the title track, Emblas Saga is a great track with *a lot* of accurate mythological aspects! Hel is another great example of their good writing.

Way to live up to your name! Beautiful vocals, very Nordic. On a modern note I hear the resemblance to Brittany and the boys, but a rougher edge there, like a party with Unleash the Archer's and Alestorm. Overall not a lot if historical detail, but a lot of historical atmosphere. I really like it, really like the reaction too! Love they have a sense of humor! The second song is lovely in that bardic tradition you were talking about. Question: have you checked out Nytt Land? I really think you'd enjoy that, let me know.
