Every song on their debut album was amazing. Personally, I think this song is their best one. The dichotomy of his and her voice blend together in truly epic fashion. They hit the chorus with such intensity and power, I get goose-bumps every time. Not to mention the third verse is probably one of the most Viking things I've ever heard!

Sabaton Open Air 2017 pre-party, arrived the concert area relatively late, but made it in time to catch a band called Brothers of Metal.... still one of my top 5 live-experiences, and this song has a place in my heart!!

In viking times, if one was to die in battle, he would get to live in the golden hall of Valhalla to dine with Oden, and drink beer that never ends. If one was to die of old age, they'd live in Hel, as a way to say they were dishonorable and couldn't die valiantly. Hope this clears things up for you! Also, as someone said earlier, it's pronounced Ig-dra-sill, and is the world tree that connects the 9 realms together. There's Valhalla, Jotunheim, Helheim, Vanaheim, Alfheim, etc.

Not true, being relegated to Hel wasn't dishonorable. Most people went there and were still worshiped as honorable ancestors. It's merely that being accepted into Valhal and Fólkvangr was an additional honor. Because not all who die in battle go to Valhal, half go to Fólkvangr with Freya.

It is Yggdrasil, the holy world-tree of the norse religion. The holy tree of the Vikings, and all those pagan norse people. It has nothing to do with "young". It is pronunced totaly different. In fact: The band got the pronunciation pretty right. There is a video of that song up here on youtube, where at the title picture a snake bites it's own tail (an old Viking norse motiv) and in the middle is drawn the tree of Yggdrasil. That video/song gives one a taste of the real pronunciation of Yggdrasil and how they may have really sung in the Viking times.

Well, the song actually is quite good. Somehow I just don't like the video ;) It just looks campy and laughable... And in a way, as of my opinion, it lessens the song... For me, it would be better to listen to them without the video. They should make up their mind, are they making their music seriously or do they really want to add that campy element to it. I would lean to more serious style, as they clearly have the talent for it. Same thing, that I have seen, when looking at reactions of people who look the videos of Twelve Foot Ninja. They are SO DISTRACTED by the video, that they totally miss the great music! It actually makes me almost angry... Twelve Foot Ninja is an AWESOME band, with totally their own style. Well, rant over.
