Thank you Thank you for sharing this Quay rarity!! How I wish this had been included on one of the dvd releases. I assume you have this on VHS? It's one hell of a transfer if that is the case.

The sound track is made up from a number of Janacek pieces the first being Symphonietta and the last The Cunning Little Vixen, hence the use of little fox puppets. The final scene of this latter opera is one the most moving episodes in 20th century opera - it has to be seen!

No. The soundtrack is Janacek's 1926 Sinfonietta. ELP "borrowed" from classical works quite often.

This movie is included in japanese laserdisc 20years ago only.
