April Wine. One of the all time best. Great voice. Great musicians. Typical Canadian rock band. Check out Triumph if you haven’t already.

One of the great underrated bands. These boys could hold their own against any band live - I can't think of a more underrated band in the history of rock.

Big surprise , I confess that I don't know April Wine work in depth . I got to know him superficially in 1980 with the release of the album Monster of Rock led by Rainbow . Very Good !

Great band ! They did a cool cover of King Crimson's 21st Century Schizoid Man, too. R.I.P., Myles, Rock on !

Some of their covers were better than the original. They also did a good job with "Bad Side of the Moon"

I have a lot of favorites from April Wine. One is the Brian Greenway song “Before the Dawn” off of the I Like to Rock album.

Some of their early songs like this are still my favorite. “Weeping Widow” is another banger! “Rock and Roll Is a Viscous Game” is a beautiful song.

@@glennandadriansrocktalk April Wine with the song "Just Between You and Me" along with The Who and Phil Collins were the only artists to have five airplays of the same song on the opening day of MTV. Another hit of theirs at the time "Sign of the Gypsy Queen" was played twice giving them seven airplays on MTV's opening day.

@@glennandadriansrocktalk Contrary to Roller, April Wine's rock ballads were second to none. KZbin music reactors had finally cottoned on to April Wine and by the time Myles had died were ready to play Just Between You and Me. The tribute fit like a glove.

@@glennandadriansrocktalk Wikipedia listed something like 28 hits of April Wine. I knew about 22 of them and might have known more but I didn't recognize the title but might have heard the song.

I can still remember back in the day the tunes guys used to want to learn to play the guitar: Smoke on the Water and Weeping Widow.

I don't think I have read that comment more for any other artist. April Wine were relentless tourers (if that is a word). They played every arena across Canada multiple times and must have played every arena in the US. They were my first as well: Halifax Metro Centre (1980?) opened by Red Ryder (Tom Cochrane) whose hits at the time were Lunatic Fringe and White Hot. There is an incomplete April Wine Concert Date Archive webpage, sorry Wichita Falls wasn't on it but it gives a scope of their touring and the big names they were associated with.

@@terrygarcia897 As I said, the list was incomplete. For instance it also lists the bands they toured with and in my case it is missing Red Ryder. I'm also not sure exactly what year I saw them but they played across Canada so much I can't be sure. You can search "April Wine Concert Date Archive" and check it out.
